Those variables also apply to Golovkin right you fcking clown?!

    Hagler destroys this boy..easy.
Mayweather and GGG would both humiliate 99% of historical fighters within their weight range.

People need to learn to separate fun action fights and nostalgia from actual technique.

    Hagler-Hearns is THE perfect example.

The only way to beat Hagler is to outbox him, land more punches.

No one in the past or present would've knocked him out.

          Mayweather perhaps.

          Not yet convinced of Golovkin.

... But what about Kunta Kinte? Wouldn't have Kunta Kinte destroyed GGG as well?

All of these comparisons are foolish until Gennady takes on a top level opponent. Beating Martin Murray, Daniel Geale and Lemmiwinks is a far cry from the resumes of a Hopkins or Hagler. ****, Sergio Martinez's resume ****s on GGG's.

GGG's hype is good for boxing overall, but in terms of historic value, he still has a lot to prove.

Given the current fighters on the scene the fights that I'd like to see GGG make to start confirming his "monster" status are Canelo, Lara and Andrade both coming up to 160 to challenge, Quillen, Froch coming out of retirement, De Gale, Andre Dirrell, and Ward (if he can make 168). That's eight fights - win 7 or more of those and then I'll probably be on the other side of the argument saying that Golovkin is better than Hagler was.
But I don't see the fights happening and I don't see Golovkin winning more than 6 of them. Another issue is lack of time for Golovkin and the time needed to put those fights together and properly promote them.
bullsheet. haglers biggest fights were against LW,WW, JM M Spinks begged him to move up he never did. Juan Roldan was killing hagler and he had to thumb roldan in the eye badly forcing him to quit. mugabi a smaller fighter while losing ended took a lot out of haggler and after Loenard saw that he agreed to fight hagler
