If Team Golovkin refuse a catchweight for the winner, knowing that he will be stripped, Cotto/Canelo should refuse to negotiate with him..... EVER.

And yes Gennady is focusing on 160, unify the belts and fight the best in his division. Kinda like how Ward did the exact same things. Years ago.

It's not even worth worrying about buddy......The WBC have stated that canelo or cotto gets stripped if they don't face golovkin next fight....and it's for the 160 belt and will be sanctioned for that weight......listen WBC would not be able to do anything anyway.....it's in there boxing policy that the middleweight division is 160 and even they know they couldn't just change a mandatory for there title knowing all past fights and stipulations are set around 154-160 middleweights division ......golovkin already owns the interim 160 belt how can they make the main belt at the same division a lesser weight...they would get taken to the cleaners by lawyers .......they can't change a rule that's been set since the WBC first began .....they have to fight triple GGG at 160 or they get stripped....it's that simple

Agree on the principle that the title, especially when its got lineal attached to it, needs to be fought at 160.

The reality is that Cotto and Canelo dont want to fight GGG, they will either bribe the WBC or throw the belt in the trash can.

So now GGG is left with no big fights looming at 160. He dont want Lara even though that will be the best fight on his resume. Kid chocolate would be good too if they even tried to make it but they just say its impossible without even trying. They say they dont want ward. OK well now GGG is 34 years old and his best win is Lemieux.

Up to you GGG but if you want to be a superstar you are going to have to leave 160. Career is in your hands. You cant just sit there and ***** that they guys from 154 dont want to fight you.
