Of course, Ward is the A side, he would've given us a masterful performance in a dominating fight.

lil g-lemieux with just 97k buys was a flop.

Remember, the offer Ward sent to Loeffler was for a fight sometime next year, not immediately.

Who knows what the situation would have been with GGG and Ward by then?

And looking at the way Roc and HBO are struggling to try and persuade Ward to take a fight with anybody above sparring partner level, I can't imagine him ever getting in a ring with GGG, let alone Kovalev.

So I guess the answer I would give is no, GGG/Ward wouldn't have got more PPV buys than GGG/Lemieux, because it never would have happened.

GGG vs Ward would hit like 250,000-300,000 PPV buys maximum.

Did you guys know that Eubank Jr. is more popular than Ward is? Hard to freaking believe more people know him than Ward.

Yes but I don't think it would be a PPV success based on their status.

I say it gets like 350-400K buys and there's no way HBO could pay the purse they each want with that buy rate.

Golovkin did 97k-150k on ppv and Ward did 325k on free tv. Not exactly the makings of a strong ppv.

Ward did barely 300k on BET, also Ward wouldnt have been ready to fight anyway, he sent a hoax offer to fight some time in 2016, only to fool some of you parrots and people with no common sense, like some of you obviously are.

I literally shake my head about this ******ity of some posters.
