Would Ward vs GGG have sold more ppv's than GGG vs Lemeiux?

I think it wouldve because it wouldve gotten more promotion in the U.S. but do you think that fight wouldve made the goal of 250k buys?

If Lemieux only did 150k I'd say maybe 200k at push 250k but in honesty Ward should be the name carrying that event but he isn't IF he was the name he should be it'd hit about 500k +

EVERYONE was talking about Golovkin Ward this summer. And still are. Would have been very successful, IMO. Anticipation is a big factor in selling ppvs. It's not just the quality of the names involved (it's not a 1+1=2 scenario), it's how badly people want to see those two names fight.

Yes, However, for it to be a total success, GGG needs to fight Canelo or Cotto, or even both.

There's absolutely not even a question about it.

Golovkin a growing star against Ward who has proven to be one of the best fighters in the world and would be a legitimate threat to him.

Most of the media were talking about Ward in the lead up to the Lemiuex fight. Lemiuex was an afterthought.
