Would Ward vs GGG have sold more ppv's than GGG vs Lemeiux?

Golovkin did 97k-150k on ppv and Ward did 325k on free tv. Not exactly the makings of a strong ppv.

BET is cable TV, not free TV. It's also not a sports channel. Ward has done 1.4M and 1.2M in his 2 HBO appearances. Same ratings as pretty much every decent fighter that fights on HBO.

I think it wouldve because it wouldve gotten more promotion in the U.S. but do you think that fight wouldve made the goal of 250k buys?

I think it would have been close to that number...Ward is no superstar as far as popularity but he's more known then Lemieux for sure...
