People can complain all the want about mismatches like Mayweather/Berto, or Golovkin/Lemieux. This **** Ward is pulling is on a whole new level. At least those other matchups were against former or current champs of the weightclass the fights were at. Ward is taking low rank guys FROM A LOWER DIVISION and fighting them at 175. Truly a joke.

Marquez was not ranked at WW, JWW. He had just moved up from 130 to fight Floyd at 147. The only difference is people know Marquez but that does not making it legit. Not unless you are a Floyd fan.
Berto: If we polled you and others before Floyd cherry picked him, NOBODY would have selected Berto. Just because Berto was a former, it does not excuse Floyd. Berto was criticized when he had the belt because he fought relatively nobody.
FLoyd uses a slightly different formula. Does not excuse Ward by the way.
As far as Ward is concerned, these are red flags. He and his team are not convinced that Ward is ready for better quality competition since he came back .....

I'm not saying Berto was a great fight, I never even mention mayweather/Marquez. All I'm saying is Ward is pulling some next level cherry picking.
Let me get this straight. First we get "treated" to seeing Ward fight once every 2 years. Now we're about get a "Ward sighting", but it's against Rohan Murdock at a weight ABOVE what Rohan fights at.
If you look at Ward's last fight with Paul Smith you can obviously see that he's slipping. I don't mean by age, but it definitely has to do with his inactivity. He hasn't fought more than 30bouts and for the last 4yrs the dude has only fought 2/3 times. That's not going to be good on you as a fighter.
If you study his last bout, Ward definitely has to reset every time he wants to let the jab or a cross go. He tends to labor more, we'll just put it that way. That's why it's tune up after another...
Yeah I think his tools are probably diminishing and he feels it. This tiptoe into 175 crap just reeks of insecurity on his part.
I've knocked on Floyd but at least he was able to find a way to win against good opposition, despite his diminishing tools. Hopkins too. Ward needs to grow a sack.
He still has tools they have just changed. Part of being a man is using what you've got. Even if he is nursing a nagging injury we don't know about (another su****ion of mine) he could still find a way to win against at least decent opposition.
After the brutal back to back KO's by Goosen, Ward is just not the same, channeling Larry merchants spirit "Will Andre Ward ever be seen in the ring again?"
Wonder if we can get Ward out of this card and put in a decent fight.
