canelo just lost 50% of his fanbase

he's been humiliated as a boxer but he always had the tough oldschool fighter aura going on with a long record at a young age

asking a guy you're bigger than for a catchweight 1 lb above the divisional minimum = "i won't fight you under any circumstances"

the demand is so pointless everyone knows what it really means

next will come the lopsided financial offers and propsed venue in rural south texas

        Why ?

He did the exact same thing that Golovkin did to Ward.

Did Golovkin lose half of his fanbase ?

Golovkin can still find a girlfriend on NSB, Canelo will be fine.

Ward is fighting tune ups above the SMW limit until next year
Canelo and Cotto are fighting for the MW title.
          Golovkin is a MW

We will go over this every time until you dummies understand it.

            From the other thread.....

Gennady Golovkin and The Pay-Per-View Dance Partner

" At middleweight, it would be fair to grumble that he had been unfairly denied his defining moment. Beyond 160, we'd have to ask if maybe he'd denied himself ".

If he denies the winner a reasonable catchweight, knowing that the winner will be stripped.... then Golovkin will have denied himself his defining moment at 160 just like he did at 168.

            I hope not.

Team Golovkin appear to want every advantage, and they appear unwilling to take any type of risk. It would be a pity it that fight fell through because Golovkin wanted to take the easy way out again.

First point: Golovkin didn't invent the middleweight division.

Second point: Canelo basically did invent the 155 pound division.

Third point: There's a large size difference between ward and GGG. Golovkin and Canelo are almost the EXACT same size, with Canelo usually weighing 3-4 pounds more on fight night.

I think Ward beats GGG. No need to argue with me about that. But it won't happen in the near future due to their size difference.

I think we know whether GGG can make 155 or not (he probably can), Canelo is just giving the runaround and doesn't want the fight. Wait for the 80/20 offer and Indian Casino venue in El Paso.

                As predicted.

As far as I'm concerned, team Golovkin trying to 'force' this fight to be made was a major mistake IMO. I understand why they thought it might be a good idea, but in truth the Cotto/Canelo camps will have seen it as some other guy trying to dictate to them and make decisions for them which they were never going to accept.

If Cotto wins, he'll give up the belt. If Canelo wins he'll return to 154. Making GGG's 'they have to fight me next' deal irrelevant.

If " we will go over this every time ", why dont you get that Cotto weighs 153?

We can " go over this " until the cows come home, but unless Cotto puts on some weight pretty damn quick he will likely still weigh 153 if that fight rolls around.

Did you either..... forget that Cotto weighs 153, or did you leave that fact out of your post on purpose?

Its ok, the next time " we will go over this " I will remind you again

                    I think 156 is fair.

And I think Golovkin has no reason whatsoever to refuse that catchweight.

And I would favor Golovkin to win.

If he refuses a catchweight, I will be left with only one conclusion.

Beyond 160, you mean like when they signed the contract for the Chavez Jr fight and sent it back to TR, then Chavez Jr ran away to Haymon?
Like when they would've gave Froch a hometown fight at SMW on PPV(everything Froch wanted) and Froch chose to retire?
Because they wouldn't sign Ward's dumb**** "deal" agreeing on a 50/50 split for a fight next year...when Ward will be a LHW and GGG will be worth more money?
**** sake this place is crazy. How many of you can remember what you had for lunch yesterday? lol
