Stevenson vs Kovalev is getting put on the backburner? Is that what someone wrote? lol okay.

I'm still in doubt of Kovalev vs Ward. I think Ward is a big fight tease at this point in his career & I think Duva could f#ck up a large pepperoni pizza order.

Same clowns who were promised by Showtime and Haymon they'll get the Hopkins fight. Kovalev got it instead and on HBO.

These people should rot somewhere for making the sport look bad.

I don't see why it couldn't if HBO was willing to pay fair market value for the fight. It seems like HBO is kinda a conscientious objector to a purse bid situation, Duva can't afford to win a purse bid without HBO or someone else backing her & Adonis/GYM/Haymon seem to feel like Adonis is entitled to better money than HBO is willing to pay.

And this is just another example of why it'd be better if all fighters fought for one centralized super powerful entity instead of there being a dozen+ kinda powerful en****** with all the best fighters divided among them.

In my opinion(for what it's worth) Stevenson/Kovalev needs to happen next with the winner to face Ward! However I'm just a paying fan who doesn't really matter!!............

duva offered stevenson 50-50 on ppv, which in a sense would give each of them exactly what they deserved

to get past this network deadlock one of three things needs to happen: the sanctioning bodies start properly enforcing mandatory fights (at all levels) and dealing out real punishments when they fail to get made, the fighters union up and put their feet down when their networks/promoters/managers block fights, or there be a federal law established ŕ la the ali act that prevents networks from playing promoter

That's right. Fans' opinions to these fighters don't matter. I cringe when some idiots blame fans for the fight not happening. They cry and whine, "Why don't you want the fight?" As if fans have power to make fights happen. Floyd even made a survey and Khan won, and Floyd still picked Maidana. Then he fought Berto despite overwhelming opposition. Not necessarily bashing Floyd because he's been on his way out and no longer in his prime. He can fight anyone he wants to fight and you won't hear me complain about it. I'm just stating the general nature of the sport.

I don't think Stevenson beats Kovalev or Ward regardless. Adonis is a bit 1 dimensional, they just have to mitigate that big straight he always throws.

Would really like to see fights between all 3 of them though, promotional outfits need to figure all of this BS out.

HBO literally works with every fighter and entity except Haymon. Haymon excluded himself not the other way around. How is HBO not paying fair purses? Haymon is trying to manipulate the purse bid so he can offer a higher amount for a fight that will never happen off of HBO. It's a sham and make believe. It's NEVER been about getting the most money or a fair purse it's about Haymon trying to get the fight OFF OF HBO at any cost. Also even if HBO were to win the purse bid there is NO ASSURANCE Haymon allows the fight to go forward. Look no further then Quillen. Roc Nation outbid Haymon and offered a huge career payday for a fight Haymon and Quillen wanted. But Haymon refused to let his fighter fight on a Roc Nation card because his beef with Jay-Z and forced his fighter to vacate his belt and turn down a career payday rather then live up to a purse bid that he lost. Haymon has proven if he doesn't like the channel or promoter he will not honor the purse bid so spare me this being about a Haymon fighter "entitled to better money". There are multiple examples of Haymon forcing his fighter to turn down bigger money fights because of his beefs and politics.

The purse bid is irrelevant. Haymon doesn't want his fighters fighting on HBO so the fight won't get done. The purse bid is being used by Haymon as ploy

Ward won't fight Stevenson, because Ward is promoted by Jay-Z and Stevenson is promoted by Haymon. There's beef between them dating back to Haymon's music promotion days in Beyoncé's early career.
