Want Cotto to beat Canelo but would rather see Canelo vs GGG. At least Canelo's comes into fight around GGGs weight plus he's just younger and fresher. Cotto is a bit shopworn no matter how much people think that Roach makes such a huge difference.

He's going to need to do that when GGG turns up the pressure on him

I am sure in time Canelo would fight him though, because he will eventually need that fight and not be able to get close to 154 to make the 155 fights worthwhile.
The problem for Golovkin is when is eventually, Lara or Andrade would be solid wins while waiting around (or Lee-Saunders winner) against good boxers but unless either starts putting something together they are not that big.
I think if Canelo vacates, they will go for unification.
Remember, B-hop was three years older than GGG when he unified. B-hop also unified a weak MW division.
Once he unifies, all those guys will probably want him.
Canelo on the other hand, I think he'll lose to next decent fighter he fights at 154.
It's just too much on his body.
Lara messed up by not engaging.
Andrade doesn't make that mistake.

You know that Lara's master won't allow him to fight anywhere besides PBC networks, right?
You know that Andrade wouldn't even fight Matt ****ing Korobov for a MW title, right?
Canelo, who hasn't fought at 154lbs for years, should hang out at 155lbs as long as possible, but GGG should stay busy vs 2 guys who are actually fighting at 154lbs? lol
That don't make no sense bro

Lara and Andrade are just two dude that were brought up but the guy i was talking to? They could be viable opponents but it is not like I said he is required to fight them they could simply be options. Andrade is a big boy for 154 anyway and his situation is kind of different now, desperation has a way for changing things and it is not like Lara is doing big things on PBC or all that important to their cause so he shouldn't be impossible to fight.
Canelo is going to do whatever Canelo wants.
I could personally care less what they do, because things will play out and I have no control of them. So I just get to enjoy~
Does that enlighten you?

[QUOTE=Progrssive_Jedi;16153240]It's makes me wonder if most people just skipped their critical thinking classes.
Then people do as this guy has done, and just belittles someone boxing knowledge, while claiming all this person does is is criticizes others argument.
Try reading the entire context of a thread, because you are responding to idiocy.
So you think PAC, Mayweather's, etc. new standard of mucking up the weight classes in title fights is the way to prove ones self.
I think it's disgraceful.
First, Cotto doesn't fight GGG even with a Catchweight.
Two: Canelo doesn't need one.
Three: certainly GGG may be calling their bluff, and will except one.
He won't go down to 155 I'm sure of it.
However, if he doesn't except it, no one is gonna say he is ducking Canelo.
It will be Canelo who is mandated to fight GGG.

Why would I care what you honestly think! You can honesty suck a ****!
Oh, wait, all I've done is prove you ****s wrong. But I'm the one who doesn't know.
The debate wasn't weather he would take a CW, it's whether he has too, whether a lineal can be stripped, and whether GGG will need Canelo.
Funny, most of you so called "Real boxing fans" will be the first to call GGG beating Canelo nothing.
Some of you already say it.
GGG has done fine without Canelo.
He can't force these dudes to fight him, but they can't force him to take a CW.
You guys can make all these excuses you want.
Canelo is a MW now.
What"s the difference between "except" and "accept" ?
Thank me later you fckin clownLast edited by TheBloodGod; 10-21-2015, 01:27 AM.

But do Golovkin or his fans care about that ?
GGG said yesterday he can make 154, and he demanded a CW from Ward.
And yet he refuses a catchweight for the little guys.
I see whats up.

Picking that belt out of a trashcan literally does nothing to advance Golovkin's career. He needs to beat the winner because that is what is truly meaningful.
IF Golovkin wants to fight the winner of that fight, then he is going to dance a little jig if the winner tells him to dance and if they ask him to jump he is going to need to say how high, then jump higher.
Sucks for him but that is the story, and it is really only going one way because those guys do not need Golovkin. However if Golovkin does as they ask with no back talk (until the fight is signed) he might get his shot.

Just a gut feeling, but I think they feed old man Margacheato to Canelo next Cinco de Mayo weekend. Canelo gets a chance to get a highlight reel KO against a guy who will come in at full middleweight instead of the smaller Cotto. I think GGG/Canelo happens next September. GGG said he wants to fight 4 times next year, I am sure they can come to an agreement to let Canelo take a tune up to fight at the full 160 limit first.

The defense of fighters who will be the WBC/Lineal champion potentially ducking the best challenge in the division is astonishing.
People talk like little school girls on here. Defending their hero's with complete disregard for the sport.
Pressure should be applied massively from the fans to Cotto & Canelo to fight GGG next at 160lbs. They should be ridiculed for if they don't.
GGG or any other fighter for that matter unifying all the titles in a division gives credibility to the sport we should support it. It's needed in a time where there are 5+ belts per division. I don't like UFC/MMA but Christ at least they have 1 champ per division. It almost embarrassing trying to get your mates into boxing when you get asked the question who is the best in a certain weight class.
