What would you say then ?
then we'll see how bad he truly wants his first big win

money talks, he'll take the catchweight. at least i hope so

but then what if the winner doesn't request one and meets triple g at 160. thas another possibility

    either way theyre gonna fight.

if the winner just dumps the belt, they'll be seen as cowards. after that you can't really critique golovkins resume.

With all the nonsense said on here by the Fanboys, G will eventually fight with a CW, as many did, to get a shot at stardom against Manny and Floyd. Other than real boxing fans, GGG, does not have super stardom, his resume says nothing and is yet to be proven against anyone with good calibur, so to all of u "Superfans" stop it, your little G with abide for the CW, it be Cotto or Canelo. He needs them they dont need him for crap!! Both of em can fill any arena, sell good ppvs and are known by not only real fans of the Box but by casual fan who swing by every now and then to watch boxing. Heck even non boxing fans tune in to see either Cotto or Canelo, as they do with guys like Manny and Floyd.

Here is the thing hopefully Golovkin gets his shot he does deserve it, but honestly I will believe this is going down when I see it play out like that.

He is going to have to jump through serious hoops to make it happen which I have never seen him try to do at all, I have heard claims about it but never backed up by actions.

Sure it sucks for him and say whatever you want about Cotto or Canelo but those guys can afford to blow off Golovkin and be just fine overall much better off than Golovkin would be. That is just the reality of it, but good luck to Golovkin in his pursuit of middleweight glory I am sure he will need it.

Why wouldn't Golovkin have the balls to give the winner a catchweight, he stated yesterday that he can make 154.
            lol give ****.
Cotto Canelo winner could probably buy a catchweight, but it would cost them a good bit.

I love the whole "Real boxing Fans" argument

It's makes me wonder if most people just skipped their critical thinking classes.

Then people do as this guy has done, and just belittles someone boxing knowledge, while claiming all this person does is is criticizes others argument.

Try reading the entire context of a thread, because you are responding to idiocy.

So you think PAC, Mayweather's, etc. new standard of mucking up the weight classes in title fights is the way to prove ones self.

              I think it's disgraceful.

First, Cotto doesn't fight GGG even with a Catchweight.

              Two: Canelo doesn't need one.

Three: certainly GGG may be calling their bluff, and will except one.

He won't go down to 155 I'm sure of it.

However, if he doesn't except it, no one is gonna say he is ducking Canelo.

It will be Canelo who is mandated to fight GGG.

Oh, sharp. I'm so shaken! You really got me.

Why would I care what you honestly think! You can honesty suck a ****!

Oh, wait, all I've done is prove you ****s wrong. But I'm the one who doesn't know.

The debate wasn't weather he would take a CW, it's whether he has too, whether a lineal can be stripped, and whether GGG will need Canelo.

Funny, most of you so called "Real boxing fans" will be the first to call GGG beating Canelo nothing.

Some of you already say it.

GGG has done fine without Canelo.

He can't force these dudes to fight him, but they can't force him to take a CW.

You guys can make all these excuses you want.

              Canelo is a MW now.

I think a Catchweight Hurts Canelo anyways.

He has to drain down that far too, and both him and GGG rehydrate to 170. Canelo would benefit from being able to gain weight.

                  Cotto can!

                  Where does Canelo go?

Back to Jr.MW to fight Lara, Charlo.

                  Canelo will always sell PPV.

But Canelo isn't the top of anyone's P4P, he needs to beat GGG for his legacy. He'll be the guy who vacated a belt to duck the champ. That's never a good thing.

And whoever Canelo does fight, they'd also want to fight GGG.

What if GGG just skunks Lara? Andrade. They both rehydrate to 170.

If Canelo doesn't fight GGG, there are other legacy defining fights.

In fact, the same who say he needs Canelo, will be the first who discount a him beating him.

I've said for awhile that Canelo will be a better fighter when he drops the BS and just fights at the MW limit.
He might actually be able to fight hard for a whole round.
He's going to need to do that when GGG turns up the pressure on him

I suppose eventually but Canelo doesn't need to rush into that. It might not be a great look on him but it is more survivable than a bad loss.

I am sure in time Canelo would fight him though, because he will eventually need that fight and not be able to get close to 154 to make the 155 fights worthwhile.

The problem for Golovkin is when is eventually, Lara or Andrade would be solid wins while waiting around (or Lee-Saunders winner) against good boxers but unless either starts putting something together they are not that big.
