Canelo may take a fight against Golovkin. Honestly do not see Cotto doing it - which is bull **** because he had no problem facing a crippled Sergio, but can't fight Gennady? If that's true then that's fear based because Sergio was never a star attraction outside of the serious Boxing fans

It is really a matter of being real about it.

Picking that belt out of a trashcan literally does nothing to advance Golovkin's career. He needs to beat the winner because that is what is truly meaningful.

IF Golovkin wants to fight the winner of that fight, then he is going to dance a little jig if the winner tells him to dance and if they ask him to jump he is going to need to say how high, then jump higher.

Sucks for him but that is the story, and it is really only going one way because those guys do not need Golovkin. However if Golovkin does as they ask with no back talk (until the fight is signed) he might get his shot.

Larry point is WBC or Golovkin can't dictate terms to canelo or cotto when they have more lucrative bouts like a rematch against eachother without belt, or enticing floyd out of retirement for #50 in new MGM both alone can still sell with just they fan bases sucks for Golovkin he needed that ppv to sell a lot more then what it's being reported to have some type of leverage

I feel bad for Canelo if he beats Cotto, he will be forced to fight Golovkin basically his first MW fighter as his first title defense. Beating someone as physically small as Cotto will prepare you for someone as big and tall as GGG. GGG's team should let Canelo get another defense in before fighting them against a weaker MW like Andy Lee or Bill JS. Because in all seriousness, forget that "it's that he has a MW title", would GGG vs Canelo at full 160 really be a hard fight to call? At the very least if he beats Andy Lee or Saunders in between we could say ok he beat an actual true MW now, he is ready. Out of good faith, team GGG should allow Canelo to fight someone in between. Everyone knows Canelo would fight GGG. Canelo wants it, DLH and Hopkins wants it, WBC wants it, but let's first be fair to the guy and him actually beat a legit MW.
