They used to get good mileage by mentioning Wards name but I think they prefer to threaten him with Kovalev now.

I dont think anyone from Team Golovkin thinks that.

That is exactly what Golovkin is doing. Its shameful that they will likely beat Hopkins record by matching Golovkin up with such underwhelming opponents.

Hopkins run at 160 will always be better than Golovkins because the division was much better and because Hopkins beat elite fighters along the way.

i stopped givving ggg a shot after saturday..he would try to box with ward and lord knows he cant
I can see this fight going similar to Hopkins/Kovalev, where the European fighter shows his boxing prowess in giving the American a lesson in the noble art.
Golovkin would establish distance and start to work off a strong jab which will keep Ward at distance for most of the fight. On occasion he'll rush into close range getting caught with flush, punishing blows on the way in, but will have a modicum of success via use his head, elbows and whatever he can. Golovkin could get cut......but will gain a unanimous points victory.

            Sure.

And we know exactly why Sanchez chooses to have that opinion today

The difference here is that Golov is 10x the fighter Maidana ever dreamed of being, and he'll likely use proper distance and timing to land big shots on Ward. He won't go too far inside just to have Ward throw short shots or tie him up, and he won't try to jab from the outside either. He'll use his jab effectively, but it won't be his main weapon.

Come on man, if you're going try to talk shít about my guy, you'd better come correct.

Try to box Ward... wtf are you thinking?
I think it would play out very similar to the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight.

Except Golovkin hasn't got the tools that Pacquiao has.

That fight would be a 12 round boxing match, because there is nothing that Golovkin could do to prevent it from happening..... and Team Golovkin are well-aware of that.

Kovalev is obviously a manufactured fighter, same as Golovkin..... the Stevenson situation confirmed that..... but at least he usually appears willing to step up and take on a challenge.

Props to Kovalev for having the balls to take on a difficult fight.

Golovkin will never fight a threat, they wont even risk it with Lara.

Team Golovkin clearly want nothing to do with movers/spoilers.

Even the trainer is now using Kovalev as a human shield for Golovkin
