Don't knock the man for staying busy and active, obviously if they're game it will be Cotto or Canelo. 4 fights a year from any fighter gets my respect as long as they are actively pursuing the big fights and unification fights, which GGG is.

I think most guys would just wait 6 months-1 year rather than opt to keep making frequent moves.

But yeah Johnson is another no hoper. I'd like to see him take up Lara's offer to fight personally.

...or obviously Quillin. Even Lee would be good too.

Just putting this out there, GGG was far bigger than David. He looked like a body builder next to him, there is no way they weighed the same, Lemuix has the build of a child by comparison. The only to people as big as him a MW are Quillin and Jacobs who is bigger than both.

I believe Lemieux entered the ring 5 pounds heavier than GGG. I seem to remember that from the TotT stats but not 100%.

Not a great fight but not terrible, but as got said it is going to raise timing issues because it gives the winner of the fight between Canelo-Cotto leeway.

I don't think that fight is next for him anyway but IF that is the fight he wants he needs to chill out, end of story. He takes that fight he is waiting till the end of the year minimum, and with more time other options can arise that make taking a Golovkin fight kind of silly.

I can feel taking that fight though because at least it would be doing his own thing instead of just waiting around for something that isn't likely to come through.

There's too much money on the table for the principals [Cotto, Alvarez, Golden Boy, Roc Nation, WBC, MGM International] for their not to be a Cotto-Canelo 2, likely opening up the new AEG Arena come the late Spring/early summer.

Why folks insist on ignoring that reality is beyond me.

Well they didn't. Golovkin-170, Lemieux-175. Doesn't matter what the eyes thought they saw.
