    I can see that happening.

Just like the Mayweather fans did to Pacquiao.

They cannot explain why Mayweather could not dominate a supposed garbage fighter, why he couldn't get his hook going, or why his output dropped nearly as much as Pacquiaos.

Mayweather clearly won, but Pacquiao is clearly elite.

    Golovkin is an outstanding fighter.

      Goodbye!!!!!!!!

      To quote myself,

      I agree with this.

GGG would beat most fighters between 154-168.

I do not see him beating Ward, at all.

By the same token, I don't see him losing to Canello (or Cotto).
What the hell are you taking issue with exactly?

      Troll.

Did he fight everyone who was relevant at cruiser ?

If so, how dominant was he at cruiser ?

        Did he retire undefeated ?

Not sure without knowing those answers, but that really is a huge call.
Doesn't matter if he retires undefeated. He could get iced by Glowacki and UD every other relevant CW.
What matters is who've you've beaten and when. Idk why being undefeated holds so much merit. You could Chris John it to undefeated retirement.

Mayweather did not win. And even if you argue that he did, it was far from clear.

Not so. Great fighters know how to nullify jabs. Just because he beat a fighter in david who didn't know how to nullify or get out of the way of the jab doesn't make him a modern day mike mccallum. That's ridiculous. He does not have mccallums skill set. Lennox Lewis said it best, hagler would be too much for him because hagler has too many tools and can fight on the outside and on the inside, "If that was hagler he would not be getting hit by no jab". Why? Because great fighters know how to neutralize jabs.

That's why when hagler (who had one of the best jabs in the history of the of sport) fought fighters like duran, leonard, and hearns that great jab was rendered virtually ineffective and vice versa "because the all time greats knew how to neutralize jabs". Ward will be able to disarm that jab and other weapons, dissect him and pick him apart. Golovkins jab probably wont even be a factor in the fight, if he, ward, is the fighter I think he is.

The jab ward displayed in the rodriguez fight is actually a better jab than golovkins. So golovkin will need to be mindful of wards jab. GGG is a good fighter but he aint no mike mccallum and definitely not hagler. He needs to face an elite fighter in ward if he is ever going to get the recognition he feels he deserves. Fighting and beating smaller fighters in canelo and cotto who I'm sure he will be able impose his will on, wont bring him that recognition.

              • C'mon people. Do you really know boxing? Why do you think Sanchez and GGG offers Froch the fight at 168 the full blown super middleweight but tells Ward that he has to shrink down to 164???? Froch is robotic and there to be hit. It's a much winnable fight, also more money. Do you really think that a JAB will beat Andre Ward? An Olympian, a pure boxer, and technician will never get beat just off a jab.

Before Lemieux fight GGG was no defence brawler who is there to be hit, now all there is to him is jab. The guy can adopt, creating the most effective gameplan against the style of the current opponent. Why are you so convinced that he will only hit Ward with jab?

My response was in regards to the person who said golovkins jab would be a deciding factor. Read the post I said ward would disarm the jab and other weapons as well.
