But Golovkin fans told me no one cares about Ward and a win over him means nothing.

I look forward to these two real fighters getting in the ring.

I'm just wondering, do you enjoy generalizing every single Golovkin fan?

Although maybe I'm a different case because I'm from the Bay Area like Ward is so I have appreciation for him. If Ward beat Kovalev and GGG he would blow up in my area.

Yeah I agree with that. To move up on that P4P list you should have to fight other P4P Fighters!

Absolutely no question about that unless someone else pulls off a crazy win. Maybe something like a Lomachenko/Rigondeaux fight or Gonzalez obliterating Estrada, otherwise Kovalev/Ward is going to crown a nearly universally recognized p4p best.

Gonzalez needs to hunt down Ruenroeng, Estrada II, and Inoue to keep his spot.

Otherwise nobody will complain if Kovalev and Ward decide the new #1 P4P. And Stevenson will just be on the sidelines with his The Ring belt..

Personally, I think Rigondeaux is the best fighter on the planet. Unfortunately, he has no way of proving it. Nobody wants to fight him. Hopefully he can get a Lomachenko fight. Or, maybe Gonzalez cpuld move up to fight him.

That said, in the current landscape of boxing. The winner of Ward-Kovalev would certainly have the best claim to the top spot P4P.
