Mayweather made a fight boring because he created awkward space between himself and his shot, green, or untalented opponents. He slowed the fights down to 1-2 punch exchanges, with long lulls between action spots.

GGG boxed smart, but threw over 530 punches in 9 rounds, and mixed in a lot of power combos. Oh, and his punches actually hurt the opponent.

One is boring, the other is exciting. Morons want a haymaker fest, or the bull**** labeled "fighting" from MMA.
Did he fight the same way when he was younger and not going up against naturally bigger fighters?

    • GGG put on a boxing clinic. Unlike Mayweather, no clinches, beat the other guy to a pulp and put him away. That's boring?

The stop was pre-mature? Did you not see Lemieux looking at the referee after the liver shot? Lemieux was grunting hard and almost went down. It was so obvious the ref was concerned for Lemieux's health the last two rounds because every time GGG pump the jab lemieux's head was snapping back hard!

It was a quick/great decision, anything less than that and Lemieux gets hurt bad! This was a worse beatdown than the Stevens fight.

Looks like NYC is an early stoppage state after the Mago incident.
You do realize that a boxer, Prichard Colon, is in hospital undergoing brain surgery after his fight Saturday afternoon, do you not? This was probably on the minds of all the officials tonight and they were likely instructed to be very careful not to see someone seriously injured tonight. Better a slightly early stoppage than a boxer fighting for his life in hospital.

Do we want fights to the death now before we are satisfied?

Roy Jones didn't need it and was dominating too but he still lost because it's a illegal move.

How many times did I post the link. But who cares, no one on this planet thinks this fight ended any way other than it should.

Your attempt to discredit what GGG did tonight is lame and no one is gonna ****ing care.

          Try another method to :****block

You are correct. Lemieux had given his best, and it was obviously not gonna be enough. GGG just would have hurt him bad.

Lemieux showed that he wasn't badly hurt by the shot, nor was he complaining about it so it's not a big deal. Plus, in all fairness, Lemeiux didn't take a knee until AFTER Golovkin was already coming forward with his shot so it's easy to see how that was accidental, where as Griffin was down before Jones got two good shots in. It's not the same thing.

The hype was that these two were going to bring it for the fans. Lemieux is smaller than Murray isn't he? Or Rubio?

I always thought in high profile fights we see known refs! **** I'll settle for at least a Draculage or a Cole, but Ive never seen this ref. Thats the NSAC..call, and perhaps in favor for HBO.

Again, we've seen many take a knee, GGG on some shady biz the ref doesn't even issue a point considering the ref also knows GGG is winning the rounds.

Let's wait until the post conference. I want to hear Bernard say his thing. Lemieux wasn't having the TKO call. Abel Sanchez needs to shutup saying he didnt think it would go more than 4 rds when his fighter is not even hunting to finish for that theory.
you must not watch much boxing then, because this guy is easily identifiable

using the fact that there were promos, and golden boy promotional **** going on doesn't really help your argument, that's their ****ing job

the average fan on NSB knew this was gonna be a beat down

He could have easily pulled an Andre Dirrell and milked it until the ref stopped the fight but, unlike Dirrell, he actually showed heart and didn't ***** out. Dirrell's career hasn't been the same since that Oscar winning performance, both inside the ring, and the way he's perceived by the fans outside.
He did try to milk it if you watch the replay, but the ref started the count and Lemieux knew he couldn't get away with it.
