i picked viloria - the underdog...but roman was and still is way above his competitors..

Gonzalez is a damn near perfect offensive fighter. There isn't a thing he does wrong. He's also taking the title of best uppercuts in the sport now that Marquez is on the way out.

He's a humble guy and doesn't talk **** and never says he's the best there is, was and ever will be and just says hes going to try his best thats all. Haters just gotta hate though, pathetic

Roman continues to prove he is what I thought he was as he continues to show how overrated he is.
He got hit a ****load, so I hope guys don't say he was letting himself get hit on purpose like with Golovkin.
He basically resorted to slugging caveman to get the win.

I think it was a little premature stoppage. New York Commission has always instructed physicians and referees to stop fights at any slight sign of disparity (both doctors and referees seem often eager to stop combats). While there is no doubt Gonzales is very solid and complete fighter (it is the concept of being # 1 P4P what is debatable), i think Viloria has few moments of success. It is easy to infer that if an old Brian was able to hold almost for 10 rounds (and possibly could have gone longer outside New York), then a younger version of the 'Hawian Punch' could have had a better chance against Gonzales. I would not be surprised if Brian decides to retire in the very near future.

Ring is obsessed with fighters who are "undefeated" or "haven't lost in a while"...
Dude don't fight for years and fight cab drivers as long as they don't lose they are lb for lb..
you're a perfect example of what the guy quoted above you is talking about .
you clearly had no idea who Roman was before late 2014 , still have no idea who the likes of Ioka , Estrada ,ruenreong etc.. are and haven't watched a single fight of these guys .
yet you'll go out on a limb and claim that a division that you never followed , a division not even shown on TV where you live, is " weak " and that any top fighter from it has a padded record built on fighting cab drivers .
seriously , this negative pushback the moment a fighter is getting some hype from the media and some fans is getting annoying .
