Call me a skeptic, but I still believe that to be the case.

I believe the recent reports of Pacs pending retirement have been " exaggerated ".

I believe that they will fight a " Berto "..... and then regardless as to the result of the election next year, Manny will " decide " to fight on.

What you're saying would only make sense if the information coming out of that camp wasn't controlled by Bob Arum. Also, when a guy is in pain, or some kind of discomfort they show it in some way, whether it's by silently favoring the shoulder, or not enthusiastically throwing and raising your arms above your head. Bro, seeing is believing and Pacquiao did not fight like he had an injured shoulder. His corner never mentioned it before or during the fight, nothing was said until after the embarrassing loss.

Great points as usual. Seems to me that it takes a tremendous amount of energy trying to maintain a falsehood, then it would be to simply show you have the bigger stones by admitting you lost. I can understand he was pretty embarrassed, especially after the Kellerman interview. The look on Manny's face when he saw that Max wasn't simply going to placate his delusions by agreeing with him that he won was priceless. I think it was dawning on him that not only had he lost, but that he had lost badly. And the post-fight press conference was comical, again Manny was faced with a press corp that wasn't willing to simply take his word for it that he'd won, not when their own eyes told them differently. I think a responsible journalist digs down into his answers to find out what the true rationale is.

The excuses coming from Pac and his fans are a sad but very real sign that Manny has lived in a bubble of adulation for all these years unaware of the real world. I don't know if anyone that lives such an insular life would have a firm grasp of reality....
