K2 had a fantastic reason, Ward is no draw and GGG had a unification bout signed with Lemieux and after that GGG vs Canelo winner. The whole offer from Roc Nation was a blatant hoax, a lie to the public.

Ward had what? Froch is a huge draw in england, Ward would have made a ton of money, and yet he decided to do an irrelevant catch weight fight vs a bum that lost his last 2 fights instead of fighting Froch.
