But nope, Golovkin's fans and management are trying desperately to paint Ward both as an unfair monstrously sized light heavyweight who is unfair to expect Golovkin to fight and a nobody bum with a weak chin who does absolutely nothing for Golovkin's career. It's pure fear. You don't talk a fighter like Ward down and make this many excuses unless you're scared of what happens if he fought Golovkin.

I keep saying it, Golovkin's fans seem to have zero confidence in him. I can't remember who it was yesterday that said this is just the same fans who saw Pacquiao lose to Mayweather and Matthysse lose to Garcia and don't want to see another "exciting" fighter they get off over lose like that.
    It's not about "fanboyism" here.
Ward is 2 years late for this fight -- and we all know it.
Now Ward must wait for his turn. But Ward is stubborn and he only wants that things happen his way only.
    It doesn't work like this.

I was pissed when Rigondeaux didn't move up to fight Lomachenko. I even wanted Floyd to move up and fight Lara just to shut people up. I also hate that Ward made Dawson come down giving up the chance to be lineal champion in 2 weight classes.

I guess I grew up in the De La Hoya/May/Pac/Roy era so I expect fighters to move up and push their limits. This new breed of micromanaging fighters careers and careful matchmaking is something I have to get used to.
I know it's exhausting to be pissed at so many fighters so often, but I'd rather stay pissed than be a yuppy hoping fighters never try to prove themselves. I'll stick to rooting for the Frochs and Kovalevs and Bradleys out there. Hell, as limited as he is I admire and think more of Shawn Porter then 90% of the sport right now. He's out there taking good fights on a consistent basis, the only welterweight left that does so.

LOL at these idiots forgetting lil Danny and lil Broner fighting a semi-retired Maignaggi in their 147 debut. All I heard was cricket. In this case they want lil G fight the #2 P4P in his division. Even Chavez and Froch at 168 were the equivalent of Maidana with lil Broner. The hate is embarrassing.

Chocolito is #1 on my list. Ward is the best fighter on the planet, IMO but he's on my **** list for being a diva. I don't defend his bull****.

I'm defending him here because he looks to actually want to prove he's the best by fighting both GGG and Kovalev.

If he shows me he's that guy I thought he was that ran through the Super 6 I'll be a full fledged fan again.

Froch, the guy that said "we'll swerve him if we can, dangerous fight" when offered a fight vs unproven MW coming up in weight, on his home turf?

Hey can you show me an unproven guy with lots of hype and momentum offering to fight a guy like Froch, #1 one division up and p4p rated, on his home turf overseas? Without trying to cash out, hopefully? Not easy, right. A guy like Ward would never do that for example, not even with 3 tuneups.

I dunno what GGG would prove for him, a division+ smaller guy with no "good wins". OTOH Kovalev is right there and Ward is demanding 3 tuneups before having to face him. That doesn't like like he's so eager. You mean HBO wants him to fight Kov, but he's strongly considering BET's counter offer?

GGG and company are pussles and want the easier fights. We all already knew this.

Froch spent 7 years fighting tough competition without a break. I didn't like that he talked so much **** and then walked, but he earned it after so long doing everything right. When Golovkin has a career like Froch's, I'll give him the same break.

Great stuff from the high ground poster, as usual. Hey if that gets you through the 3 tuneups for 3lbs for the Best Fighter in the world
