Man, I'm not even a huge GGG fan because I don't find his style entertaining at all. He gets the job done, that's about it. And I always root for the underdog, which is why I'm siding with Lemieux in their fight next week.

If GGG wins, then let's focus on Ward vs GGG to be made early next year. I'm sick of this topic. This fight has to happen. Let's make noise about it and I'm sure the Cotto/Canelo winner will cooperate and turn down GGG. It's good for them anyway. Let GGG get additional wear and tear before taking him on.

Ward willing to fight since about mid 2014

GGG going in against Ward would be the slower fighter going against a bigger faster fighter. That's a recipe for disaster. They were willing to fight Froch and Chavez at 168 and not Ward. I get it Wards too big and good at 168. If I was GGG camp I wouldn't take that fight either especially when I can fight Cotto, Canelo and Lemeiux which are winnable fights, boost name recognition and make more money. Why make less money to definitely lose to a much bigger guy?

HAHAHA! I was exaggerating but he ranges from 12/15-1 odds for real.

I too am considering a bill on him just cause odds are great

You are all mixed up amigo. Sanchez is not questioning Ward's overall resume. But he IS questioning Ward's current status as a box office attraction. And he did that because he was asked about Ward sending in a fight offer after it was known that the Lemieux was already signed - which is just terribly lame.

We all want to see the best fights but boxing is much more than just bravado. As a boxing fan, if you don't/cant recognize the impact that the business side of the sport has on matchmaking then you are doomed to experience perpetual frustration and disappointment - and who wants that?

Ward is high risk:low reward for Golovkin. If he wants the fight he should stop sending out lame late offers and reclaim relevancy in whatever weight division he can best handle these days.
I understand that in this day and age the business of the sport takes precedent ..

But with that said if GGG wants to prove his greatness he should move up in weight and challenge some of the best guys in the divsion north of him ..No catch weights nada just like he was willing to do for Chavez Jr and Froch .

In the end do people really care who made the most money ? No it should be about who they fought !

"not worth the risk", etc. etc. This means the "era of GGG fighting bums" should be ending soon, which both sides should be happy about.. unless you're just a straight-up hater.

BTW, PPV is not the ONLY way to watch this fight (obviously) but I will support the guy because I like his style and attitude.. need more fighters like him, KOVA, & LOMA in the sport IMO.
I don't think anyone is ducking GGG. There are promotional issues with some guys. There are network issues with others. Just like its been for decades. Its nothing new. GGG's biggest issue is that he fights in a ****ty division. And there's nobody there to validate his "greatness." Lemiux is a C level fighter. Andy Lee is a C level fighter. Cotto is an old, blown up welterweight. Canelo is a natural jr middleweight. And these are the fights that GGG is aimming towards. The only fights I can co-sign him taking over Ward os Floyd (ain't gonna happen), the Cotto-Canelo winner, and maybe Froch. And that's for financial reasons. I'm sorry. But I can't co-sign him prioritising Lemieux and the Lee-Saunders winner over Ward. Especially when he's willing to fight other guys at 168lbs.

I'm curious...what is it about his style that you dont like? Is he too aggressive for your liking? Do you rather he love tap his way to a decision instead?

This back and forth when will it ever end? They should just fight already. However, from a financial perspective Team Golovkin is right. Ward is all is wrong for GGG. He doesn't generate enough revenue outside of Oakland to stage such a fight.

Additionally, Ward would be the favorite going into that fight. So why would they risk a potential big money PPV fight with a naturally smaller opponent where they would be the easy favorite and for more money as opposed to fighting someone who is naturally larger and not a cash cow?

Very similar to what happened when GGG answered a question as to whether he would like to fight Mayweather. The next day all the headlines were screaming... "GOLOVKIN CALLS OUT MAYWEATHER" when he did nothing of the sort, he simply answered a question.

****, people are ****** around here. I need to take a break because I can feel myself losing IQ points every minute I remain in a discussion with idiots like you.
Why do I need to check my dates he is on video plain as day saying 164 and we
Don't need him. Maybe your losing your IQ because you don't use. Any common sense ! They have used Wards name the whole time with no intentions of fighting him!

Guess he wasn't serious about Froch and Chavez Jr either right ..

And GGG said he would have went to 154 to fight Floyd his words were that would be my dream fight but let me guess he was just kidding right

I find it hysterical how triple duck supporters defend a guy with such a weak resume yet try to **** on fighters like Ward who is much more accomplished

If Ward doesn't do that it either means he doesn't mind being called a liar in public OR he doesn't have the proof.

I'm rolling with Sanchez on this one. Part of the reason is that Ward and his manager came off all righteous in their legal fight with Goossen but 3 times he lost in court - Judge was like GTFOH with that shit.
I fully agree with you; however, Ward nut huggers will be in denial even after Ward has retired from boxing. The fact is that the so called "Super Six" consisted of only one "Super" and that was Ward. the rest of them were not on the same level as GGG or Kovalev. Perhaps Ward will one day face GGG or Kovalev, and we will see just how "Super" Ward is against today's competition. My prediction is that Ward loses both to GGG and Kovalev (if he ever fights either man).

Let Ward fight at Oracle arena on BET and beg for PPV money for being on the undercard. HBO has made GGG a big time attraction while Ward has taken years off and fought nobody since winning that super 6 tourney. GGG coach is right Ward needs to become relevant again and stop lying.
