Kov may need to look into new management.

What happened to the Russian billionaires?
I'm not gonna argue with you....

Instead, I am going to place the blame directly where it lays.

    At Kovalev's feet.

    Exclusive HBO deal doe.

An Exclusive HBO Contract has no benefits, if anything it seems keep someone like Kovalev from reaching his full earning potential if anything. HBO is important to boxing don't get me wrong, both HBO and Showtime is needed for the sport of boxing because it is no way you can squeeze all of these fighters on just 1 Network and give everybody their air time. However, that Exclusive Deal with HBO for Kovalev is holding that man back because in his Division, HBO has nothing for him, I guess they will try to show Kovalev vs Pascal II down our throats
      Great post man !

Personally, and I understand if some folks dont agree with me here..... but I am going to lay the blame directly on Kovalev.

Sick and tired of exclusive TV deals being used as excuses.

      By signing with HBO, Kovalev.....

      * CHOSE to be a big fish in a little pond
      * removed himself from the equation at LHW, he is just an HBO fighter
      * traded freedom for a better payday, and he traded validation for security

      BTW, I really like Kovalev.

      Fkn shame !

According to GYM, Gonzalez is next on the IBF rankings. I didn't see September's rankings, but he could be next

You do realize that Beterbiev was offered a fight with Kovalev and he turned it down, don't you? When you turn down a fight with the champion so that you can fight an eliminator to become the mandatory to that same champion, that is called ducking. The reason is that Beterbiev and Haymon want to avoid the fight altogether by pushing for a purse bid to get Kovalev to vacate a title instead of defending it in the ring.

He has earned the right by fighting guys in ibf ranking to go the mando route and where was they going get the money to put on fight from HBO? They never gave him the November 28th date to air fight duva was suppose to have Russian billionaires putting fight on and we see where that got krusher

If Kovalev had said no to a Beterbiev fight and forced him to go the mando route, Haymon fans would be up in arms about it. Because Beterbiev chickens out of the fight and goes for the mandatory instead, after two years of claiming he would beat Kovalev anytime anyplace, Haymon fans are cheering the move.

Bunch of hypocrites. I hope that Kovalev makes Beterbiev crawl and beg before giving him another shot at the title.

How the fcuk is that ducking ?

That is like saying Mayweather ducked Pacquiao because Pacquiao refused to undertake random blood tests.
