Has he really come a long way? Since losing to Rubio he's had soft touches. The plan was to keep him away from punchers. So the next fight he faces Alcine & loses. So now they've kept him away from punchers & boxers. The average KO% for his last 10 opponents is 43%. Has only faced tw men with a KO% over 50%. This so called Lemieux improvement is s fairytale just like Cotto's

Those are words you don't want to hear if you're a GGG opponent, "His first real test".

The majority of the fans and press are picking Golovkin to win by knockout. De La Hoya traveled over to Canada a few days ago to watch Lemieux train. Both he and Golden Boy partner Bernard Hopkins were very impressed by what they saw.

I like the comment about a fighter from Kazakhstan and a fighter from Canada selling out the Garden. That is pretty cool alright !

But I disagree with Hoya's other comment.

Lemieux is not Golovkins best opponent.

Actually he was, but not to the same level as Lemieux.

Initially I would have rated both Murray and Geale over Lemieux, but not sure now.

TBH, I was surprised by the way that Golovkin folded Geale, until Cotto did the same..... Geale had a CW excuse with Cotto, but had no such excuse with Golovkin.
