Cleaned out the rest of the middleweight division (at least those willing to face him.). In the process, he is slowly building his brand via HBO's marketing machine.

Most fight fans will agree that Cotto is the lineal middleweight world champion (i.e. the man who beat the man). But regardless of that the consensus says that GGG stands out as the best middleweight in the world.

His standing in Ring's latest p4p rankings reflects that. We can criticize his recent opposition until our face turns blue. The fact remains that no elite middleweight is anxious to step in with GGG.

GGG has simply done what needs to be done. He's blown out his opposition while waiting on the likes of Cotto or whoever the division's top dog may be.
You didn't really answer my question friend.

You stated why you respect Golovkin, and I'm not arguing, but.....

What has Golovkin done lately to justify ranking him above Pacquiao and Klitschko?

Nothing in your post explains why he is ranked higher than Klit/Pac.

They are fighting - at least - the same level of opponent as Golovkin, but have also fought/beaten much better fighters than Golovkins opponents.

Those guys are also experienced world-class vets with good resume's.

I asked you, seriously what fkn middleweight weighs 155?

Now you get the point, but painfully too late.

Yes, GGG would weigh more than 160 given the time to acclimate at SMW..... just like how Canelo would weigh 160 if he was a middleweight, and just like how Cotto would weigh more than 153 if he was a middleweight.

      Now, you get it lmao.
Can you spare me your moron thoughts for once? You're a joke, remember? See quoted for evidence

Granted. Then again this isn't my p4p list (I don't keep one). P4P is a pretty recent boxing novelty which emerged in the late '80's . As such we've seen that nobody will ever agree 100 percent with anyone’s P4P list. P4P is mythical rankings system. There are no set criteria that determines anyone's rank.

Do I think Wladimir is looked over? Yes. And Manny's loss to PBF doesn't help matters when it comes to a list like this.

Yep thats how I see it. And fair point about Mannys losses..... except those two losses were both to great fighters, and Pac has beaten great fighters as well.

Right so, what we decided last Friday was.....

            * middleweights weigh 155
            * Lucas Matthyse is a top fighter

            Right ^^

Any other words of wisdom genius ?

Which is why a fighter's recent accomplishments carry more weight than their entire resume when compiling p4p lists.

In Manny's case, he's 3-3 in his last six fights (albeit with 1 controversial loss to Bradley). But his ko loss to Marquez and his non-performance vs Mayweather far outweigh his recent victories over Bradley, Rios and Algieri. Hence, his drop on most p4p lists.

That fought/beaten part is subjective and it will always be that in any manner, I agree that Wladimir and Pacquiao have beat better opponents but I don't agree with people who make the pathetic claim that he hasn't fought anybody good.

Boxing is what you make of it, UFC does well with promoting fighters so say when Cormier beat Gustafasson it looked like a great win and the Mixed Martial Arts community agree with that and that's because their division is hyped up in the manner it should be just like the old days of boxing.

People get caught too much in the hype of well known fighters over actual skilled fighters and its happened back then and it still happens now but in much less divisions.
