Another silly post. If GGG was a natural SMW, Froch and Kessler wouldn't be bigger, stronger, taller... They'd be the same size. Froch doesn't think he can beat GGG even with the size (and hometurf) advantage, and that's Ward's best win. So you're way off, again.

GGG is the A-side, and he's gonna dictate what happens financially, so no 50/50. He wants a catchweight at 164, and doesn't want to give anything back in return. According to you that's total crap, but you're defending it now :/
50/50 is giving back in return. GGG is clearly the bigger draw, he should get better than that. So 50/50 for 164, 60/40 for 166, 70/30 for 168, something like that.

Just because your weight grows does not mean that your height and reach does. And considering that GGG is not a very big MW, he would also not be a very big SMW (grows proportionately in size, keeps all abilities). You guys really don't know how pound for pound works lol

        • he was offering ward a 50-50 deal. how is that not giving him anything? ward is a nobody who can't draw and doesn't even fight on network tv.

ward is a coward. that is well documented. he turned down bute, stevenson, froch 2, and degale and tried to fight sartison, truax, and zac dunn. if ggg turned down the best in his division and tried to fight bums just imagine what you would say. but ggg did the opposite. he tried to fight the best and they turned him down yet you like ward because he had some good wins 4 years ago but they were all on his terms with his corrupt refs that let him cheat. ggg doesn't need to cheat to win. stop supporting cheaters. people like you ruin boxing for the rest of us.
Ward might not make the best decisions for his career but it's his career to manage / mismanage. In your summary of the fights he didn't make, you left out the fact that he was engaged in a bitter promotional dispute which played a role in him not making fights.

Calling Ward a coward says more about you than it does about a fighter that is universally respected by all of his peers. For the record, it's people like you are ruining boxing...self righteous boxing fans with an unhealthy bias and dislike for people they've never met.

Dude, just don't bother. They have fun doing this type of ****

EDIT: I'm gonna listen to myself and go to sleep. 50/50 in exchange for a catchweight is fair. L-O-****ing-L

No, you seem confused. Ggg would be bigger than now, if we were pitting him vs SMWs in a p4p sense. So if Froch won't face him with the size advantage, imagine if they were closer in size.

But since you insist Ggg is a small MW, wtf is Ward doing trying to cherrypick a small, unproven MW?

My understanding of p4p was to imagine fighters grow or shrink proportionally not only in weight, but in all dimensions. Otherwise what is the point of mental exercise to grow Ward to match Klichko? With his current height and reach he will grow where exactly? In the belly? )))

P4P attempts to measure how good a fighter would be if he had his full range of capabilities at any weight. Meaning he would grow in all dimensions, but only to where he currently is. If a fighter has average height as a MW, he'll be of average height at HW. If he has crushing power as a LHW, he'll also have crushing power as a BW. Assuming that he kept everything he had at the weight he's at currently, how good would he be anywhere else on the scales? That's all P4P is about. It's a measure of a fighter's skill more than anything else, which is why a good resume is also necessary to guage the fighter.

That said, if Ward shrunk to GGG's weight (from a P4P stance), he'd still be heavier, taller, have more reach, and be more skilled and proven. The same vice versa. I haven't seen anything from GGG that Ward couldn't handle. He's a fantastic fighter, but until he's in the ring with someone that can actually trouble him, it's hard to say he's better than Ward, or even a challenge for him. P4P is a mythical list, and entirely subjective though, so rank your fighters how you like.

That's because Froch isn't going to waste his time training for a fight against Golovkin for half the money he got against George Groves

Congratulations to Golovkin for finally breaking a million dollars. Still behind the boring, no drawing Ward....but it's a start!

Wake the Cobra up when he's worth over £9million.

I dont think he would be the favorite.
