As good as Hearns was Id go with Mayweather by UD because he was solid I don't think power alone will beat Mayweather

You're right it wouldn't be power alone. It would be his terrific long jab, lateral movement, viper like straight right and beast of a left uppercut to the body that would have Tommy win.

He'd win fairly comfortably. Would not be close. It's okay flowmos just because there are boxers out there that would be able to beat Floyd doesn't mean he still isn't a very good boxer

Even with his steroids and IV Floyd would get knock out too much size and power

Why are floyd fans getting butthurt? He can't win every fight sheesh. I'm a klitschko fan. But I don't get butthurt when boxingsceners make thread about WLAD vs other HW ATG even though he probably gets starched by a lot. May weather can't even lose a fantasy fight according to his fans...... Smh.

This topic has been discussed to death and the consensus is that Hearns wins.

I think Hearns would win by KO. Mayweather never fought anybody remotely like Hearns. Hearns would have height and reach on Mayweather. Mayweather is used to having a big reach advantage but not in this fight. Hearns had lightning fast hands and was a great boxer. He was well ahead of Leonard on points when Leonard knocked him out. Hearn's long, fast powerful jab landed on everybody and it would give Mayweather fits. Hearn's famous strait right was an amazing punch and harder and more effective than the right hand Mosley hurt Mayweather with. Very few welterweights could have defeated the great Mayweather but I believe Hearns would beat him by KO.

hearns by close ud, it can go either way tho, but it wouldn't be an easy fight for either guy like some posters think... sometimes I wonder if people really understand how good Floyd is at boxing

Hearns by UD. It would be a 12 round fight by today's standards. Height and reach difference is far too much of a big factor. Mayweather is out of comfort zone with a fighter this size and that caliber.

This, my friends, is an example of a bandwagon sports fan who's probably never seen more than a handful of boxing fights and, "don't know **** about boxing".

Floyd by whitewash! Hearns has lost to lesser fighters than Floyd. Floyd can fight any and everyone, and changes his whole style to dominate without being touched!

And we all know how Floyd does to tall fighters! Hearns would look like a statue, glued to the ring. Floyd would zig zag, duck, slip up close, throwing flurries, combinations all on the body and head.

Like a small tornadoe, bouncing around a tree.
