Shannon Briggs and interesting don't belong in the same sentence.

He really hasn't been interesting since the late 90s.

Let's not act like Wilder is this great well-seasoned champion. He's not. His biggest win was over Stivern, who's biggest win was over the undedicated Arreola. While I agree that Wilder should be fighting current top HWs, that hasn't happened yet, even though he's a champion. Although Briggs is past it, he would still be the biggest name Wilder has yet faced, and would generate interest.

I agree with every part of this.

Not only would this be the only other fight that would spark interest in the states, Wilder might find a way to make that fight before fighting Povetkin...

prime briggs got a gift decision over 46 year old foreman. that was at his best.

anyways dont see him taking this fight unless wilder pays him really well. hes still chasing the wlad fight, which i think will happen because wlads camp is playing along with his lets go champ crap

Is the author of this article serious? Briggs hasn't won a meaningful fight in over a decade, and few in his entire career. Wilder needs to dramatically up the quality of his opponents, not become a side show freak by fighting a 40 something has- been joke..

He fought their names past their best. For the money! Briggs is a social media whore that makes waves. Those waves will bring money to the shore. Believe that! And like Wilder said..."wouldnt it be a fun three minutes" Even if it only lasted a round...who cares. But what if Briggs took him to school and cut his ***ing lights out alike old G of boxing?

IMO...Brigs needs to make a statement with his fist first. Not his mouth. Beat a good solid top 10 guy like

Yeah this sounds about right , HW should be centered around freekshow fights and such, the hard fact is Wilder's debut on NBC drew lower ratings then ....Kimbo Slice's last fight .........
