Ward fans: what would be the game plan vs kovalev?

    Honest answers ,straight shooters.

Kovalev has the height ,reach and the power
Fights tall and has quick hands. Good foot speed.
Is in tremendous shape and has a good cornerman.

He has a jab and Very good 1-2 ,a good chin and heart and toughness.

Whats the game plan for team ward who has little to no power at 175 and good speed but not great,A solid chin
    And a solid corner.

Ward would have to be a spoiler per usual. Throw a jab and right hand and clinch on the way in. Clinch whenever Kovalev has him against the ropes or cornered. Grab and hit with his free hand. Hold on to Kovalevs left arm and pivot the way out. It won't be pretty, and it would probably be without any action.

His biggest weakness is his feet, which are relatively slow and not all that graceful. He also kinda gets repetitive/limited in his offensive arsenal.

Ward has to give him angles and turn him around as much as possible. Also he has to make sure he gets off first and not stick around for inside fighting or try to counter Kovalev.

It would be his biggest challenge yet thats for sure.

People saying Ward will clinch his way through.. I doubt that's gonna work with Kovalev, Hopkins didn't stand a ****ing chance. I doubt Ward will ever fight Kovalev, he knows it's all wrong for him. Kovalev beats anyone Ward has fought, thoroughly too

so he has to cheat nonstop? why is this seen as a legit answer? why when this actually happens in fights do people say its a great dominating performance?

Beat him with speed. Lots of feints and jabs to the body. Kovalev is very good and confident right now. However it's not an impossible task for Ward.

That is the exact reason why I can't stand Ward nor his ****ing fans..
                  Boring, cheap, pathetic.

I recommend Ward to go after Beterbiev before Kovalev clinching beterbiev will be an almost impossible disaster for the clincher
