this is how it will be for ward: clinch, headbutt, fight dirty, potshot, run.

too bad for him kovalev will completely run him down no matter what.

Delay going up to LHW. Fight once a year and say you need a tuneup fight. Keep fighting on undercards instead.

Ward's been fighting with one all-the-way-good shoulder since before the Olympics. Finally took the leap and cleaned out the shoulder. I believe before the camp for the Edwin Rodriguez fight. Got through the Rodriguez fight with no issues, pushed the action in the Paul Smith fight, and I haven't heard anything about shoulder issues for Ward.

You add that Ward is an orthodox lefty, and I still need to see him hit a guy dead on to gauge his power when all the way healthy. Kovalev is still likely the bigger puncher, but I'm keeping things open till I see otherwise from a healthy Ward.

man we know hopkins is a geezer, but it still hopkins the master boxer who could schooled any good opponents.

you said ward could "Smother him and rough him up" i personnaly think ward inside game is far superior than Kova, but can ward get inside?? what if Kova doesn't want to enngage and just play outside all night long??

like i post in another thread i only see ward steal 4 round max from kovalev, kova is just too big and technical
