Pacs physical condition is more relevant imho, because of his style.
Manny needs to stay sharp, as soon as he starts looking flat that could be the writing on the wall.Comment

Pac has been dealing with MASSIVE - often absurd - distractions, ever since I first started following him. Its not a problem imho. I have no idea how he manages so soak up all of that stuff and remain unaffected, but he does it.

You hear it from Floyd, and it's just true in life I think. Heck, even the plot of There Will Be Blood shows Daniel Plainview hungry as an oil prospector, and completely mad and idle as a billionaire tycoon.
What I don't understand is why people seem so adamant to close the book on great fighters like Floyd and Manny. They are still quite elite, and can dominate just about any of their boxing peers right now.
If they choose to retire, that is their prerogative, but from what I've seen, neither of them NEED to retire. Manny was KO'd by JMM, true, but that happens. Lennox Lewis was KO'd, and continued on to avenge that loss, beat a shopworn Tyson, and weather a stoppage with Vitali.
If they continue to fight, we will continue to pay, as long as the fights can be hyped properly. That's just my opinion.

My opinion on this is that boxing is a natural talent for Pacquiao. He was at his best when he was hungry and climbing. But like so many champions, when you're at the top it's harder to find that same hunger and motivation.

Good post man.
The head does rule the body.
But still, Pac will be judged on the outcome of this performances..... if he can still pull the trigger, and retain his speed but more importantly his sharpness, that will likely translate into a good performance.
But great point you are likely correct, only Roach and associates will know for sure.Comment

Pacquaio fought with an amputated arm and no brain a be he's still going to fight 25 more times as long as Arum tells him to, " go fight boy."Comment

Pac deserves to retire. Fighter of the decade, and the hero who exposed Fraud Pedcheater Jr's ped use and completely discredited the woman beaters entire legacy forcing him to retire. Pac for President!!!!Comment

But what if Pac wants to continue fighting ?Comment

Nah, PAC has 2-3 more fights before he calls it a career. I'd like to see him get one more tune up before ending his career on a high note.
I'd like see him beat one or two of the following before he quits.
Danny Garcia, Matthyse, Brook and Thurman.Comment
