as a boxing fan, id like pacman to retire than go through another farce like the floyd fight, even the algieri and rios fights were terrible because he fought guys who were not good competition.

he should fight on if he has the cojones to fight brook, thurman, khan or porter.

freddie won't be able to use the mitts forever, and he's clearly deteriorating in his speech, but that doesn't mean he can't train world class boxers.

lots of trainers haven't been athletic enough or fit enough to work mitts with their fighters.


at this stage, with a fighter like cotto or manny, you're brought in for advice, getting good sparring, little tweaks here and there. you don't have to work 15 rounds of mitts with manny to train him.
