Seems like they expected Wilder to KO him withing like 3 rounds which was just foolish if you knew his history.
    Maybe because he is?
No one that actually lost to Francesco Pianeta isnt a bum.
Its funny how over the course of 11 rounds, fat french cop Dahaupas turned into this unstoppable titanium-chinned boogeyman.
He had never been knocked out because he never fought anyone good.
    Still hasn't actually.

I just saw a highlights clip, damn Wilder looked terrible, he has nothing beside his punching power and is begging to be countered. He makes Rios look like Sugar Ray Robinson compared to him.

Not hard to understand why. It was a college football Saturday in SEC country with the Crimson Tide having a home game.

Everybody was probably passed out from all the tailgating.

Imo wilder would win because joshua's no defense & no head movement would be the reason.

So no one's gonna comment the wilder didnt go crazy with windmill punches?

I guess some just love to hate instead of really seeing the fight.

The real challenge is his mando, which he stated they gonna get the mando's out the way for a wlad fight.

I dont see a problem him fighting guys as long as his mando is fought.

I've followed Wilder since he went pro and I've been very critical of him; I also recognize and give him credit when credit's due. Last night Wilder gave impressive performance, probably his best.

Wilder's offense is much more versatile and varied. He threw the jab very well, all his punches were cracking, he's throwing (and landing) uppercuts and body shots that he didn't throw before and he showed that he can fight on the inside. Also, Wilder's physicality was on display last night; he leaned on Duhaupas, pushed 'em and man handled him at times - there was a stanza where Wilder was leaning on Johan, on the ropes, and then he busted out with a barrage of uppercuts.

If I'm in Team Wilder, the fight's outcome was the best case scenario that could happen. You had a tough gritty determined and experienced opponent take Wilder into the later rounds, landing some decent shots, damaging his eye and making him have to work for the KO. Perfect fight for Wilder to practice and showcase some stuff he's been working on in the gym and giving fans an exciting fight.

                    Now let's bring on Povetkin....

Joshua does have defense. He has better technique and more power than Wilder.
