That's why we use resume and skillsets to judge fighters as opposed to "Who would win Tyson Fury or Roberto Duran? Fury? Ok so that means Fury>>>>Duran"

It's ****** and illogical. No one with a grain of sense is going to rank Tyson Fury over Duran just because he'd beat him if they fought in the ring.

If that were the case there's no point doing ATG lists because they would all be Heavyweights.

Do you actually have a Top 10 or 20 ATG list and are they all Heavyweights?
I don't think you understand what logic means. What I'm saying is based in reality, and somehow you're calling what I'm saying ****** and illogical? The irony would be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic. There is no point to atg outside of conversation sake, website hits, sales, etc. in reality they're useless. If you suggested what you are to any rational thinking person they'd laugh at you. No other field would accept what you're suggesting but somehow you think it makes sense? Stop embarrassing yourself man, you look like an uneducated buffoon.

Hypothetically speaking Duran is a great fighter and is an atg but in reality Tyson fury would make him a vegetable.

Actually welterweight is the most dangerous weight class in boxing outside of heavyweight. I remember a few months ago someone posting a list of the most dangerous weight classes in boxing and it was heavyweight followed by welterweight then all the others combined. The KO ratio at welterweight is up there on the list.

So Floyd may not be a dominant heavy weight but he is still dominant in a dangerous weight class. The guy you responded to has no idea what he's talking about.

Yes I do. Because "someone posted a list"...what the fcuk? That's the baseline for credibility in NSB it seems.

So why do you follow this sport then if you think literally all the writers involved are "uneducated buffoons" with no rational thinking?

You understand you're in the extreme minority that thinks this way in regards to Boxing?

How do you consider Duran an ATG? Surely he can't be in the Top 200 fighters ever (Probably generous considering your criteria)?

If you're saying that because I don't think Fury>>>Duran I look ****** then ok buddy

                No he didn't.

Unless you're using the same logic.

I can't follow a sport because I think some writers are fools? Again, more logic from you. im in the minority because people aren't looking at in terms of reality. If you presented your theory to people outside of boxing they'd think it's a joke that you consider fighters the best based on an abstract, unprovable discussion. That's not how the rest of the world works.

                      Not some, all of them.

I think anyone with an ounce of common sense would say that bigger doesn't always equal better and you can be a better fighter and more accomplished fighter thus ranked higher despite being smaller and thus losing in a potential match up.

As previously stated, hence why the most common way of ranking fighters tends to be looking at their resume and accomplishments and their skillsets.

And you aren't just in a minority you're in a less than 1% minority. I've never in my life heard anyone have an argument like yours.

What I'm struggling to understand is how can you consider Duran an ATG? Surely you consider hundreds of fighters to be ranked ahead of him?
