  • James DeGale vs. Lucian Bute

Rumoured to be happening on November 14th in America.

Solid first defence of the title. Bute has definitely been Cobra'd but is still a name and a capable fighter.

Not sure what to make of DeGale fighting in the US now after it seemed he was getting a bit of momentum and support with the UK fans.

Hopefully it showcases him to set up a unification with Badou Jack next year.

Interesting. I'll go with DeGale in a late stoppage.

      Degale-Bute

      Jack-Chavez

      Winners meet.

Hopefully by that time Golovkin's fought Ward and the winners can fight the winners.

That's a good fight, I'll go with Chunky.

The **** is wrong with Haymon? Battle of Ohio in Vegas? Bute vs Degale not in Canada or the UK?

DeGale to KO him early. Bute's chin has been cracked in half by Froch.

Decent fight, winnable for Degale, Bute hasn't quite bounced back since Froch but he's still more than capable enough to test Degale, I think Degale should win a decision as long as he stays focused and disciplined throughout the fight, I had the Dirrell fight fairly close with the KD's being a big factor and thought Degale let some rounds slip away, that's something he needs to address if he's going to stay at world level IMO.

I could imagine Degale wanting to make a name for himself in America tbh so I think he would be very happy fighting over there more frequently, he's always seemed to look up to the likes of Mayweather and I think he understands the importance of making it over there if he wants to become any sort of household name.
