Yeah it's a bit ****. DeGale got the loudest ovation of the night when he was in the crowd for a recent card in the UK. His next move was to sign with Haymon and fight in America lol.

He's made some dumb promotional moves in the past, hope this isn't another.

Then put it in Quebec, where they'd get a much bigger gate and it's still on primetime tv. Unless Degale doesn't wanna concede home turf to Bute, which is reasonable for a champ I suppose. It'd be kinda sad to have them fight with 4k in attendance, when they can do 4x more elsewhere

Yeah I doubt he would be happy defending his title on Butes turf tbh, you're right gate wise it does make more sense, but I can just imagine Degale wanting fights in America because ive always had the vibe that it's his dream to do so, I have no doubt in my mind he would sell more tickets and have more fans tuning in if he fought in the UK, if he fights in the U.S. Haymon will probably make sure there's plenty of other decent fights on too.

Good to see Degale fighting in the US and against tough competition

Its a shame Kelly Brook is hiding out in England, fighting bums, and needing the likes of Anthony Jousha and Tyson Fury to carry his "headline" PPV's...

I would rate Diego Chaves as a better opponent right now than Bute.

DeGale via brutal knockout. DeGale is going to counter every punch from Bute up until the 4th or 5th and eventually catch him with a devastating shot.

He could lose this one, If Pascal couldn't KO him then I doubt DeGale does.

Bute is done. He couldn't pull the trigger at all vs Pascal..Degale wipes the canvas with him.

It's lame how this won't be either in England nor Canada.

Anyways, as for the fight this is a great first defense adding the fact it will be in a foreign country. I'd go with Degale by UD, but don't be surprised if he gets Smigga'ed.

What? For real? How has Bute qualified for a titleshot?

DeGale should go for Ward instead. Ward has no opponent and surely would like to unify.
