Floyd beat them both so it doesn't make sense, unless the winner goes off and beats GGG then I'd be more inclined to agree.

Yep. Joe 'I'm Bought And Paid For Thank You' Cortez, along with PED Floydie in his pocket.

                ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Cortez is irrelevant anyway. Whatever he says is worth ignoring immediately. If Floydie returns without PEDs, who can he beat unless they're slow with no power? Besides, Pac is king until he retires, no matter how much some fans hate the guy. Canelo has promise if he improves his boxing basics. Cotto will be doing his farewell fight vs Canelo. Danny Garcia loses if he fights Pac, and a good chance Khan beats him. Or Herrera. Best thing is - NO Floydie. Lotta young talent fighting it out, no ducking, no cheating.

I'm just glad Cortez and now Floydie are gone from boxing. Two cheaters gone. All legit boxing fans should be pleased.

Immediately okay sure I guess, but I think the role of successor has a high probability of being very fluid over the next year or three. And it seems like GGG/Lemeiux vs Cotto/Canelo will be the guy for foreseeable future, but I suspect someone will rise up that'll be a more long term successor later on.

Sure they are (Ducking, Frauds, waiting until good fighters get old, etc)

I was going to rip this guy until I realized he is correct. Whoever wins this fight will be the latest version of a faux great. Cherry picking opposition, ducking true threats, holding a belt but not fighting in the said division.

In fact, these two pretenders are worse.

Cotto had done some good things, but Canelo always drained himself to fight strictly smaller fighters.

In fact, Canelo is the very thing GGG hater say he is doing, but he didn't. GGG could have easily fought SWW, or JRMW, whatever. He would of destroyed them. He is about the same size as most of them, but has crushed bigger dudes.

                    Anyways, Canelo is a fraud.

At least Cotto kind of earned his current trick, but it's sad he is walking around is MW champion, never have fought at MW.

Both of these pretenders will likely vacate before facing GGG.

Now what neither will be, is the next P4P King, 1# boxer, on the planet.

I don't know if there is a list out there that puts either in top five, or top ten. I can think of ten fighters better than both of them.

If he wins like i expect him to win(dominating fashion) he will be the hotest thing in boxing and any fight he does from now on will be PPV. If Canelo wins he becomes a superstar and basically all his fights become ppv from here on.

I think whoever wins even if it is for a short time will be the cash cow in boxing.
Cotto wins, he'll vacate, proving only that Canelo ****** in the first place, which he does. Cotto isn't anything special. He is a pretender who gets sc****d any which way he goes.

The fact he'll vacate the belt will put a quick end to his run at the top. And if he gets in the ring with GGG, it will put a quick end to his ability to think straight.

Whoever wins that fight gets to be the guy who quickly ducked GGG, or the guy GGG pulverized on his way to superstardom.

Cotto and Canelo are probably making side deals to keep fight close so they can claim they don't need to fight GGG.

I hope Canelo knocks Cotto out in two, and then grows a pair of balls and fights the true MW champion.
