Totes agree. It's obvious he is trying to be all different and innovative but don't reconfigure how the sport has done things for decades. It feels too much like a TV set. If that's what they are going for then they should travel around the country to different venues, which maybe they are doing, idk. All I know that's what WWE does, kinda like a tour. I think it would be a great idea if they could establish a venue in Vegas. Not having huge fights or anything there but having contenders like he is doing now fight every few weeks. But more consistently host fights like Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week. Not have big names fighting all the time on these days but just giving boxers who aren't ranked very high stay busy. I bet it would draw people considering its mostly guys in vegas every weekend on vacation going nuts.
One thing Al Haymon and the PBC can improve on Immediately Is.....

I like that they have the same blue ring and black ropes for every event. I never really noticed if the other companies always had the same set up but I like that about PBC. The ring entrances are ok but that ****** music they play needs to get the boot!! Let guys come out to their own ****. They atleast meet up with their team half way thru it. Oh, Another thing is the ring announcing situation. Have the guy in the ring. Does anybody else feel that way about that???Last edited by Bigg Rigg; 09-17-2015, 11:13 PM.Comment

I agree that PBC should allow the fighters to have their own entrances, which is as big a part of boxing tradition as any. Not a deal breaker, just a preference for me.Comment

I understand the 2nd part. The first part could be because of language issues with the music since they're on network television. Yeah, there are clean versions of tracks, but still...The music is because he was in the music industry and knows if ASCAP wanted to, they could sue him for using artist material without permission.
The ring entrance without the entourage is because he needs to make sure there's no riff raff and bs. PBC has commercials, PBC doesn't have time to kick Tyrone, and Lesean out of the ring because they want some camera time.
Besides, we're here to watch the fights...the entrances come secondary (if that)Comment

PBC sucks serious balls and is ruining boxing.
Regular HBO & Showtime cards - those are starting to feel like the glory days - with healthy competition between the two networks. Ok, things weren't perfect, but it was a much better state of affairs.
This Haymon **** is the worst thing to happen to boxing since i've been following the sport. The problem is, since it's free, people can't/won't/don't complain..
Even tho
The match-ups are not competitive
The commentary is poor (except ESPN who already did boxing)
The production is cheesy
The ringwalks ruined
Titles not recognized
The general vibe and atmosphere of most of the shows is manufactured, non-organic and subsidized by corporate cash#
They've eaten up HBO & Showtime's (much better) schedules almost completely
It might be free but it's costing BOXING. Its time people started expressing their dissatisfaction with this crappy model before it monopolizes - that is the only thing that we can do to try and change it.

SO fans of boxing are complaining about ring walks, fighter music, entourages and ring girls. WTF?
Do you guys like boxing or just watching big fights because there is a difference between the two.
Do you guys judge other sports on the cheerleaders and introductions of the athletes?
There are definitely improvements needed but I would think those have to do with the quality of the fight, not the lead up to it.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 09-18-2015, 09:32 AM.Comment

When I think of ring walks I always think of this one! The song along with Tyson's intimidation factor give you the chills...
