How can yall keep saying this when Manny has consistently sold less with the same opposition and sold less with equal level opposition (See: Algerie & Rios) Hell Clottey did almost as bad and Manny was a big as he ever was at that time.

If it really hit 600k then that is very good.

I'd need to see that official to believe it though.

                    Do the Math

I said this before; If Mayweather vs Berto does +500k it has to be considered a success (no one expected much from the non-existent Berto fanbase). Do the Math 500K ppv buys ($65 and $75) equals $35-million dollars before you add anything else up (gate, closed circuit, theaters, etc). Additionally Showtime doesn't have to split their share with HBO which is a plus.

Because of the economics it's basically guaranteed to be a success. Where as this fight was a massive failure and lost Showtime countless millions. Simply because they agreed to pay Mayweather far too much money. The fight purses for the entire PPV will be 1/3 of what Showtime just paid for Mayweather. Which means they need far fewer PPV buys to turn a profit. And with GGG's PPV you are at least guaranteed to see excitement instead of the boring crap you saw from Mayweather.
