Several of the ATG middleweight fought in eras where there weren't multiple belts to unify. And within the last 10-15yrs, most hardcore fight fans have become educated enough to realize that just because a guy has a belt doesn't mean he's a good fighter.
As for Ward, I'm not comparing resumes. If both never fought again, Ward's resumr dwarfs GGG's. And he's a younger guy that turned pro roughly the same time. GGG is the one that needs to justify the hype. Ward answers every question there is to be asked about GGG. And the favt is, GGG doesn't want it. And his fans support him for it. Its disgusting.
