Ward isn't... you don't gain PPV status by beating a PPV star if that was the case there'd be a lot of PPV events happening per year.

Ward, along like Floyd, Rigo, B-Hop, etc entertain the hell outta me. Watching one of those guys completely disarm and turn a supposed top fighter into a bad sparring partner is a helluva lot more entertaining than watching GGG KO Boxcino champs and guys even the moat hardcore fans have to look up on boxrec.

No, I actually understand boxing. I can appreciate all styles. And the match-up is far more important than blood-n-guts. I would much rather watch Floyd fight Sweet Pea, and they stand there and play chess for 12rds. Than to watch Gatti-Ward. Because I know the Floyd-Sweet Pea winner is one of the best fighters to ever live. Gatti-Ward is a couple steps above what I could watch at a local bar.

The difference is Gennady has sold out the Stub hub center, The Forum, and MSG. While Andre can't sell out his home town. It means people pay money to see Golovkin. So I won't be surprised if his PPV does better than people expect.

I'll give you my example of casual fans. I have 10 people coming with me to the garden to see GGG. Only one of my friends follows the sport like me and knows of Ward. The others just show for PPV fights we get. They have never been to a boxing match before, but are willing to pay good money to see Gennady Golovkin destroy people. He's just a special fighter people are intrigued by.
