The WBC has to maintain credibility. The only reason they are fighting for the belt is because GGG AGREED to step aside with the agreement Gennady gets the winner or the belt. This could be easily upheld in court.
This is true. the contract signed by GGG and the WBC is legally binding and Golovkin could sue them for big money if they broke it.

They can just vacate and he fight for vacate belt, which throws monkey wrench in his plans to actually get a superstar name on his resume, none of other names in mw division warrant a ppv fight, **** his fight with Lemieux isn't a ppv fight was forced to be one because of HBO budget

Both sides sounding like idiots arguing this subject.

            1. I highly doubt GGG is scared ****less of a guy who hugs and runs as much as Ward. For ****s sake he started fighting as a young kid when he his brothers would take him around town making him fight strangers.
            2. It probably has something to do with Ward not being able to draw flies to ****. Sounds like both guys unifying in this lull as Pac And Floyd retire would be a good idea.
            3. Why won't Ward should challenge Hopkins in the mean time

I don't even think he will have to fight for the belt if vacated. I'm pretty sure he is elevated from interim to lineal champ.

But the same goes for Cotto and Canelo. Without GGG there is no one around their weight that people would want to pay money to see.

a cotto/canelo rematch is the most lucrative fight for both

Andre Ward might be forced to show that email - unless he was lying and the offer really did come after Golovkin/Lemieux was announced - lol...

because Hopkins said he would never fight ward.

                      and stop making excuses.

ggg vs ward is one of the best fights that can be made in boxing.

                      **** all that who's a draw bull****.

every fighter ggg fought couldn't draw and he still fought them.

I would pay ppv to see ggg vs sog
