GGG vs Jones is 50/50, Jones clowned on firemen but never against elite comp and factor in his suspect chin and GGG real power and you have an all time great battle.
Exactly this. I just received my first infraction on here because "Pretty Boy32". There are a lot of Fanboys who talk trash and when you do it back, they report you. If you do not agree with what they say, they report you. That's why my ignore list is so HUGE. F'em all. Roy might get KO'ed by GGG. Roy lacks fundamentals and makes amateurish mistakes. On top of that, he NEVER had a chin. They think Floyd and Roy are gods and they are not. Nowhere near.

I don't think people should the calibre of Roy Jones' competition when comparing his career to Golovkin's. Does Golovkin have wins that are comparable to Roy Jones' wins over Toney and Hopkin?

I didn't think so. The fact of the matter is Roy Jones proved the value of his skills over better competition. The fact of the matter is Golovkin has not displayed the effectiveness of his ability over anyone worth mentioning. The fact of the matter is Roy Jones had a chin that carried him up to Heavyweight. The fact of the matter is we don't know the extent of Golovkin's toughness.
Fans of Golovkin won't event entertain the idea of him moving up in weight to fight Ward, but they want to question Roy Jones' career. I have not seen anything from Golovkin that suggests he'd put up a good fight against Roy Jones, and if people are honest they would feel the same way. I have not seen a display of toughness from Golovkin that would make it impossible for me to envision a fight where Roy Jones would beat him enroute to a TKO victory.

The comparison is this, Jones never looked as good as GGG against B level comp. he was fast but against elite level comp was never Super. Jones clowned part time boxers. His fights against actual top fighters were less spectucalar.
Only a fool would think Jones could stop a fighter who hasn't even touched the canvas in 400+ fights.
You guys are living off myth and hate.
The myth that Roy Jones was Superman.
And hating on GGG, a decorated amateur and world class boxer. Get the fuq out here with that bull**** ( and that's not directed at only you but many others) the fight would be close and epic.

And once again, RJJ clowned Toney and Hopkins.

As someone who has watched every Jones fight and was basically a fanatic at one point, that Golovkin jab he throws while coming in low is gonna give Roy alot of problems, the same way Griffin pushed Roy into the ropes to let him get off clean shots(luckily Griffin has next to no power), Roy couldn't even outbox Griffin, he had to walk through his power to stop him, he can't do that with Golovkin.Last edited by SplitSecond; 09-16-2015, 10:41 AM.
