With Floyd retiring he's #1 on my list.

This may be one of the greatest thread backfires ever.

If Boxingscene had a thread hall of fame, this thread would be first ballot, LOL

That's actually a pretty good idea.

              BoxRec Ratings

              (Floyd Mayweather has officially retired).
Why can't Wlad be #1? He's ruled the HW division for like 10 years now.

Who do people want to put in front of him? Chocolatito? A guy nobody heard of before his HBO debut?

              Give me a break.

Wlad is #1 p4p right now and that's all there is to it.

Because his competition and his performances against that competition are not anywhere near better than Gonzalez or Pacquiao or Rigondeaux or Kovalev or a host of other fighters. The names and the fights themselves are not worth claiming Wlad is the best fighter in the world.

I mean, are people blatantly ignoring how bad he looked when he wasn't allowed to cheat against Jennings? Or how bad he looked putting in one of the most blatantly illegal performances ever against Povetkin? That man is not p4p #1 worthy.

I'll take the humans. One might not think Roman Gonzalez is the top dog post-Floyd (fair). There ain't 28 better fighters and Kubrat Pulev and Tyson Fury, Glazkov, Peter Quillin, and Carl Frampton being among those 28 ahead is pretty...I don't know what it is. And love Frampton.

Will there be much of a shake-up in TBR's rankings or will everyone just be moved up a place after Mayweather is removed?
