Will you then rank him as one of the best ever? He already got a respectable list of good victories. Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Dawson, Rodriguez, Bika and Miranda.
Ward would go down as the best 12-stone(168lb) fighter to ever throw hands, and would've made a definitive mark at 175 as well.

One of the best ever? As much as I root for him, not just yet; Ward would have to reach for greatness, imo.

He'd have to pick off at least one world title at cruiserweight (a lot of consolidation is currently happening at the weight, so he might be picking off a unified title), and then challenge for the heavyweight championship of the world.

best super middleweight to ever to do it, lineal champ at 175, champion at 200lbs, and possibly picking off a heavyweight belt (in addition to being America's last boxing Olympic gold medalist and not having lost a fight since he was 12 years old)? He puts himself into that top 10-20 conversation

Add Beterbiev to that list and I'll consider him an OK fighter

I was a fan of Wards but his lack of drive to compete in the sport is sad. He showed huge potential as the possible p4p future #1 but refuses to move up or down... Unlike many, Ward had the great privilege to unify the titles at SMW in such a short amount of time... Yet didn't do anything after besides making the champ above move down and hasn't done anything of relivance since..

Ward is just getting older with no big fight in what seems almost 5 years... Will we ever see a meaningful fight in his recent future? I doubt it!

If he goes to 164lbs proves he wants GGG that much, beats him
Then goes back to 168lbs maybe one or two fights there move to 175 beat Kovalev and Adonis then yeah sure he deserves it he'd be rated higher than Floyd.

Are they all going to be willing to fight in Oakland and at 172?

He'll never face everyone on that list, let alone beat them all. At the rate he's fighting, his next opponent will be some aborigine televised on NATGEO, but taking place in Oakland, of course.

SMH, the guy he is fighting next has a KO rating of almost 90%, who happens to be another title holder at 160. I don't get how he is "feasting on overmatched bums" when these guys that he is fighting are all MW's. Cotto should have kept his diva ass down at 154 instead of holding a belt hostage pretending to be a MW.

And how you can call out GGG for trying to unify a division and claiming he is fighting smaller guys while supporting Ward wanting GGG to move up to 168, I really don't know. Ward is the one wanting to fight smaller guys and afraid to move up from his 172 pound division to 175.

Lol. Bird brain logic: Ward is fighting at 172, running away from Kovalev, and calling out GGG, who he knows has a fight lined up already. And that makes Golovkin a coward!

Don't feed the troll. Pigeon lives a miserable life and only comes here to spew hate in order to make himself feel better. In all likelihood he's never even watched boxing before.
