Yea that's what I'm saying. Kovalev should aim his focus on Adonis. Although it does hurt Wards credibility when he is fighting at 172 lb catchweights. But I completely agree Kovalev and Ward need to stop picking on guys not even in their divisions. For god's sakes Golovkin is a career 160 lber and is a few years older. I think I can remember Ward a few years ago trying to instigate a fight between he and Floyd. I mean just pathetic, or it might have been Hopkins, I can't remember

He could clean out the 175 division and beat every Tom, **** and Harry and still in this site he would not get credit

Ward needs to get back in the ****ing ring. It's been three months since he had an easy tune-up and there still hasn't been an announcement as to when he is fighting next. If he's just going to fight Smith/Periban type opponents, he should have fought 3-4 times this year. His 2013-2015 run is so pathetic.

its funny that certain fighters will just never get any respect and everything negative about their careers will be the first thing brought up no matter the topic!

Would GGG be a good win for Ward at 168? Because Ward is obviously a far greater fighter than GGG at this point. You might be able to answer your own obvious question if you actually put some thought into it.

But the so called best fighter at 168 should wait for a career 160 fighter and that would be a great win for the 168 fighter?

He would have to beat them convincingly, at least one KD against each fighter and would have to win at least three of the fights by stoppage, and all the fights would have to have been held outside of Oakland over not longer than the next two years. That would rank him as one of the best ever SMW fighters. Still not one of the best ever overall boxers of all time. For that, you would have to add Beterbiev to the list and Ward would have to win all fights by stoppage.

Ward has wasted his best years and got too comfortable with his super 6 wins, I don't see the same level of hunger and ambition in him anymore and I don't see the same fighter I saw in 2011, these long layoffs will hurt him down the line.

However if he wins these fights u mentioned and beats these guys while they're reigning champions he'd be a good candidate for fighter of the decade, but unfortunatley not all these fights will happen.

I won't give Ward too much credit for beating GGG at 168, he's supposed to! he's bigger he's faster he's got more tricks to smother and neutralize the smaller GGG, he's all round much better fighter than GGG and this is not a secret, i don't see this being a competitive fight by any means if the Ward of 2011 can show up against GGG, i don't know if he's still the same fighter, but even with his B game he still should be able to beat GGG.
