GGG is head and shoulders above anyone else in the division. Lemeiux has absolutely no chance, to the bookies or if you ever watched him fight. Yet he's boxrec #6, and it is a title unification fight. #5 is Jermain Taylor, who is probably in a mental ward at the moment. #4 is Andy Lee. Lee would be slaughtered. #3 is Quillin, who would also be slaughtered (though if I got to choose, he'd be the fight I'd make). #2 is Cotto, who would, indeed, also be slaughtered and is not a true middleweight.

Perhaps GGG can fight the Quilin-Jacobs winner. That'd probably be the best fight for next time.

You can attack him all you want but he is speaking nothing but truth and echoing the opinion of millions of fans.
How many fights did Oscar promote for Mayweather? Oscar made a lot of money off Mayweather. Why does no one say Pacquiao fought guys WAY past their prime, when he also fought Oscar, Hatton, and Mosely after Floyd already beat them? Why the double standard? Should Oscar say "Canelo is fighting Cotto, but Cotto is WAY past his prime?" Was Mayweather in his prime when he schooled Canelo? Another double standard for Canelo? Floyd is the best of his ERA. Next man up!

Funny how many people in this thread as a last resort reference PPV sales as a means to rate fighters.

GGG is the middleweight champ in my book.

I understand the lineal thing, but I don't rate Cotto's win over a crippled guy who was coming off a long layoff for one last payday.

He has done more harm to the sport of boxing then help. Boxing needs him to get the hell out so we can move on to real fighters.

I missed it when did any of those fighters start calling themselves the TBE? And are any if those fighters known as boring fighters? But sure go ahead and point the finger at everyone else and try to change the argument by ignore Oscars 2 points which are facts. I could care less if you think Oscar has an agenda for what he is saying. Even if that is true doesn't change the fact Floyd makes boring fights and has a history of ducking fights either all together or years until the fighter is no longer in his prime.

It's funny how the boxers are only past their prime at the time they fight Mayweather. Marquez went on to KO the P4P #2 fighter after he fought Mayweather. Cotto is now the MW champion. Mostely was so past his prime that Paquiao fought him after Mayweather. No one said he was past his prime then. When they're not past their prime they're too inexperienced. See Canelo. Of course everyone will be back on the Pacquiao bandwagon next time he steamrolls another overmatched opponent. It's really hard to give Mayweather any credit for some people and unfortunately Oscar falls in that category.

Cotto beating a cripple to win his belt does not prove he is still in his prime just means he beat a washed up fighter, Marquez kod another fighter who was no longer in his prime as well and was roided out his mind for that fight, and nobody gives credit to Pacquiao for beating a past his prime Mosley either. Canelo was too young but that is the best example you have and still weight drained him otherwise the fight wasnt going to happen. Floyd has carefully picked his opponents waiting for most to take abuse get some losses before he chose to fight them. None of theses guys were in their primes.

only the blacks are commenting on floyd "PPV numbers, 49-0" blah blah blah!!

Point being, floyd was never exciting, never liked by the fans (cept the blacks) and of course having the ability to pick and predict his wins. In 5 years people wont remember him for being the best ppv guy or defensive genius. he'll be an after thought. people still talk today about guys like tito, JCC, barrera, morales, tyson, hearns, manos de piedra etc. true peoples champions who came to fight. do people talk about sweet pea and his great defense? Hell no! Oscar is pointing out the obvious; we're ALL glad he's gone. Go enjoy your millions Floyd with all your fan boys.
