Pascal was doing pretty well against Sergey and while Pascal is a very good fighter he's by no means elite...

A 50 year old Hopkins and a very good Pascal were still too much risk for Stevenson, bring on Bika, Karpency. Doing pretty well is losing most every round, getting dropped and stopped for the first time in your career? No, doing pretty well is what Fonfara did against Stevenson, straight off ESPN2.

As for p4p, both guys are consensus top 10. You're in your own little world

Exactly, Cruz doesn't want any part of Rigondeaux and Stevenson wants no part of Kovalev.

Steven's only chance is to land a lucky punch. That's it. Beyond that it's Kovalev's fight to lose, and Stevenson knows it.

Good thing for Kovalev, he no longer needs Stevenson. Kovalev's credibility is now through the roof, and his popularity is significantly greater than that of Stevenson.

And who has Stevenson defeated? Chad Dawson? Tovoris Cloud? LOL. Two guys over 30 well past their primes who's lost most of their recent fights.

The biggest win, in my view, on Stevenson's resume, is Andrzej Fonfara. Not a huge win or anything, but not guy on the downside of his career, and a tough customer. And he gave Stevenson all he could handle too.

Kovalev, on the other hand, has recent wins over Hopkins and Pascal, guys with significant credibility who've both enjoyed recent success.

No way Stevenson could One punch KO Pascal or Hopkins, just would never happen. He's great at finding the mark against complete no hopers but Kovalev won't be there to be hit. Stevenson's career would get smashed to pieces if he ever steps in there with the 175 King.

That's your opinion, and i disagree.

Boone gave him hell (he gives everybody hell) and Caparello already dropped him (only 6 KOs in 19 fights doesn't bode well for Caparello's power). Kovalev isn't that slick, and Stevenson has life-changing power.

methinks that you're overestimating the amount of movement that Kovalev does.

Kovalev is supposed to be having his homecoming fight in Russia, this year. What fighters are on the short list for opponents?

Beyond that, after Kovalev vacates the IBF belt, rather than fighting Beterbiev, who else is he going to fight? lol

I realize kovalev's situation is ******, but if fighters had any pride they'd accept his offer. beterbiev rather win the belt by forcing him to drop it due to his inability to fight on another network, as opposed to actually fighting him.
