If HBO doesn't want to open up their wallets for this fight then they could give Kovalev a one-time exemption to let him face Stevenson off their network. After all, should Krusher win he will return to them with the linear title and as a much more marketable commodity.

As boxing fans we should pressure HBO to do exactly that. Either give these guys more money or get out of the way and let someone else do it so we can see them get it on.

Being fair, HBO would probably be cool with it; Main Events doesn't want to gamble with the real possibility that Kovalev gets beat (and he returns to HBO with none of the titles, and without any real compelling fights for HBO to market in the division); Stevenson's punching power is real, he's astonishingly longer than Kovalev, he has a pretty uncanny sense for effective punch range, and it only takes one flush shot for him to basically put out any 175 fighter on the planet.

No way Stevenson could One punch KO Pascal or Hopkins, just would never happen. He's great at finding the mark against complete no hopers but Kovalev won't be there to be hit. Stevenson's career would get smashed to pieces if he ever steps in there with the 175 King.

They are, by offering him an A-side deal on HBO PPV, and a career payday by some distance. They're not a charity, why would they let let their exclusive guy go elsewhere for the most appealing fight in a name/money starved division?

Until HBO gives way to your overwhelming pressure, Stevenson's options are HBO PPV for career best purse by far, or more of these scrubs for far less money and acclaim. Why are you pushing for 2?

I'm pushing for the highest bidder to get the fight. As it should be in a free market. This way the fans get what they want and the boxers maximize their earnings. It's a win-win.

For some reason you want both guys to accept less money than they are worth, though. Just so that the network and promoter that you cheerlead for can win.

Both GGG and Sergey Bumalov are going down soon.....Followed by half this forum dying via suicide....

Bumalov can't fight Southpaws (Agnew was countering him) and has a questionable chin....I think Adonis will ice that overhyped Bum in the 5th round and send him back to Russia....Bumalov also fights in the weakest paper thin division and that alone should disqualify him from any absurd P4P talks....

GGG is incredibly overrated and hasn't fought anyone elite at all to deserve all the ridiculous hype he has gotten........Even Lemiuex has a chance to beat him and I hope he does...

Uh did you notice Stevenson fights in the same paper thin division, except fails to make all the quality fights: Kovalev, Hopkins, Pascal. Good luck with all your issues though
