floyd illegally received 15 times the legal limit of IV fluid, floyd only cut 3 pounds so no it was not for dehydration but for masking PED use

floyd tried to hide this illegal IV use by not informing usada and by doing it at his own home, usada happened to catch him while he was doing it

and floyd is clean? how? in what universe?

The reason this is concerning is because, at least according to Hauser, it seems like Mayweather was covering up something and that USADA helped him sweep it under the rug. Originally when they mentioned the TUE for the IV rehydration stuff, I was under the impression that Mayweather had requested it in advance and had done the rehydration under the watch of USADA. I don't remember why I thought that, I think I read something where USADA expects testees to give urine prior to and after something like this.... not sure. Anyway, it seems more questionable now because USADA discovered "evidence of an IV being administered" (rough quote) when they arrived for a random drug test but would not clarify if the IV was being administered when they showed up or if they noticed something that suggested they had already used an IV.

Also, Mayweather was allowed to apply for the TUE almost 3 weeks after they discovered that he used an IV, which was well after the fight had taken place, and had not in the meantime reported anything to the NSAC or to Pacquiao's team. And yet they did not extend a similar courtesy to Pacquiao, even though he was requesting permission upfront and even though Toradol is not actually banned (whereas IV administration of saline is).

Anyway, I doubt anything happens either but just wanted to clarify that the problem, as I understand it, is not that Mayweather had saline and vitamins in his body.

If there was something wrong and someone from NSAC or USADA knew it, why would this guy try to address the problem 4 months after the fight? This is drug testing! U can't wait for stuff to come out, it's either the test is positive or negative.

And LOL at the first sentence: USADA told Pacquiao that if anyone tested positive they can do an IV. Really? Then why did they test them anyways

Just like that other reporter a couple of years ago who claimed Floyd failed some tests, just another reporter trying get publicity, Thomas Hauser is probably a *** and SB nation have always been suporting and supported by Top Rank, so until a representative from NSAC and ISADA adresses this issue prople should just wait.

Ummm, the dude took a BANNED IV? Stuff like "rehydration medication" that is used ALL the time to mask PED use.

A couple people have posted that none of the info is new, but I think some of it was in fact new (at least to me), regarding the amount of time that passed between when USADA came to test Floyd and noticed that he had been given an IV and when floyd actually asked for permission to take the IV which was weeks later.

It was a very well written and well researched article...and it isn't just about Floyd...it is mainly about USADA.
That's the most disturbing part. Reeks of corruption. The strange part was that NSAC was furious at USADA for even granting the the****utic use exemption. They claim only they can grant it in Nevada, not USADA. Either way, Floyd bought both of them.

Let's hope there is a govt sanctioned investigation. Might be too late to catch Floyd, but an investigation can stop this type of corruption within the sport.

USADA knew, gave him the go ahead and tested him before and after, NSAC didn't know.
