Not Every Banned Substance Is A PED.

Who said that these values are true or that they are above the limit according to USADA? Only that reporter said that, and I doubt that he just found that out last night, why did this take 3-4 months?
Todorol is illegal during fight week according to NSAC, exceptions can be made but when u don't disclose evidence? How can the comission give u something so that u don't feel pain during a boxing match? But that's not the topic, I think we should just wait till USADA and NSAC say something official about it, and if this guy was making this up he should get sued.Comment

Its a banned method.
That's like saying blood-doping is fine because you're just injecting your own blood.
In any other sport the result would be reversed and he would serve a 2-year ban.Last edited by Furn; 09-10-2015, 01:27 AM.Comment

All the information is in that SI article, I suggest you read it.Who said that these values are true or that they are above the limit according to USADA? Only that reporter said that, and I doubt that he just found that out last night, why did this take 3-4 months?

You won't like what you're going to read.
Floyd must've been severely dehydrated to need that much saline, or he could be trying to flush his system.Comment

A lot of fighters dehydrate during fight week and it's not always because of weight cutting, I remember George Foreman talking about fighters not gaining any weight after the weigh in, and he said it happens when u r so nervous before the fight u make a lot of trips to the toilet and u lose a lot of water.
Another thing, if u followed Floyd's career recently, u would notice that he's always drinking water, even during press conferences he sometimes has to stop 2-3 times to drink water during a 5-10 minute speech, all signs that his body dehydrates quickly.
But again I'll just wait till USADA and NSAC address this, u can't take a reporter's word for it.Comment

Well at least the explanation isn't as cliche as saying that he inadvertently had a needle in his arm, or that some meat he ate must have been tainted with IV saline and vitamins.
But yes, no one can confirm the said IV saline mixtures of a volume far beyond normally permissible limits were for anything other than rehydrating after losing 4.5 lbs* in 30 days... but it doesn't look good, especially with USADA allowing him medical exemption weeks after the fact without disclosing anything to the commission in the meantime.
*for the record, he was 150.5 at the 30-day weigh in and 146 at the official weigh in.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 09-10-2015, 01:41 AM.Comment

I more or less agreed until your last sentence. I won't say Floyd is necessarily using or has used PEDs, but he does at least appear to have the ability to get a great deal of lee-way with USADA.irrelevant argument because you're discounting the fact that
1) he received the IV at his ****ing house, odd considering you must be severely dehydrated and are at this point considering medical attention to warrant intravenous fluids, so you're going to the damn hospital..not sitting on your couch playing playstation
2) he did it without telling anybody and USADA actually found out while coming by for a random test sample, then they kept it under wraps until 3 weeks after the fight
3) this type of IV for dehydration can also be used to mask other illegal substances in your system
4) this most likely disproves the theory that he "walks around at 150lbs", so much for that bull**** lol
I have no doubt in my mind that Floyd uses some form of PED and has been getting away with it for years, especially in his later years
Also I'm not sure that it does discount the fact that he walks around at 150 per se either, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least mid 150s off-season. Not because he looks particularly big but rather because it seems unlikely that someone could make such a drastic change in exercise/diet and not experience some weight change.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 09-10-2015, 01:48 AM.Comment
